I'd forward this on to the local Humane society...sheesh!

Or send this to the media also (aside from classifieds)

Are you in a position to "poof" it and place a found ad???

Is it hard to figure out it's meowing because it's hungy and lost?
Boy, the cat picked the wrong human to ask for help!

It really does not take a lot to call the Humane Society nad have them get that Poor Cat.
Or to catch the Cat so it can be rehomed.
That Poor Cat did indeed pick the wrong home to go to.
We hope someone can save that Poor Stray.
I hope that "Lady " needs help one day, and everyone turns thier back.

Guys there is an email where you can contact this person. I just sent one off to her/him. If enough of us email this twit maybe they will do the right thing and give the kitty a bite to eat and call a local shelter. I am going to try to find a no kill shelter in winnipeg and send her the phone number and address.

I did call our humane society. I wasn't surprised by their answer - "Sorry, we can't help." *CLICK*

Just like when I found a lost dog - they said if I couldn't keep it, then to throw it back out on the street --- the dog had been hit by a car before I found her!!

I'm going to try and make my way over there tonight.

Just emailed this person again with a bunch of phone numbers to NO KILL shelters and I myself also just emailed the shelters. Hopefully someone will help this poor baby before that twit does something. I will let you know if I hear anything from anyone. If I don't hear anything tonight I will be calling tomorrow and talk to someone directly. The phone number for the idiot is also on the link attached to the original message. I will call them if I have to.

I suggested to the person that they post this in the Lost and Found section...if there is one.

I checked both Wpg papers online, and no one has reported a missing kitty.

Poor thing! Stuck with Scrooge at Christmas!

But not for long, it seems... :)

Just got an email back from one of the shelters. Not too promising.

Unfortunately like most shelters here in the city we are full, We have 110
cats, I have e-mailed this person to ask her to take it to the Humane
society. That is about the best that can be done. Have no idea if the cat is
wild or tame etc. If it is wild, no one will take and catching it will be
difficult without a trap. If she is not feeding it, then it will eventually
leave to find food.
Thank you

Well....I just got an email from the son of the woman that posted that ad.

Here is what he said:
hi, umm i brought the cat to the winnipeg humane society. i dont know if
that is a no kill shelter. i didnt really know there was a difference. while
it was in my garage i was feedin it. for some reason i gave it some rice and
chicken, but it ate it. i also gave it sardines. yeah, i kinda felt sorry
for the poor kitty, but we couldnt keep her cause momma is allergic and so
am i. but i hope humane society will take care of her

I sure hope he is right and the humane society won't put this baby to death. BC Mom maybe you could give a call and see what their policy is for holding turned in cats? Hopefully she will get placed. I don't want to think of the other things.

As long as the kitten is not aggressive, it will stay there (or in a foster home) until it gets adopted.

It's no kill unless animals are extrememly sick or very aggressive and show no hope.

Thank you to everyone for emailing this person!! :)
