When I went to the barn the other day I took a bunch of pictures-decided I would share!

Here's Ava, I hadn't even touched her yet, so she looks a little messy. :o I need to shave her mane, she pulled half of it out when she had that skin problem.

Here are the other horses. The lady that owns the barn has mules and the donkey, and the shetland belongs to some girl who dosen't come out there much, as seen by the burrs in his mane.

This is Cracker, the mini donkey stallion. He's really cute.

This Roscoe, I'm in love with him! He's a rescue, we're not sure if he rides or not. No one has been able to sit on his back yet, so we assume if he did at one point, he dosen't yet.

Not sure who this is, a skinny arab mare. She magically appeared there, she's probably from next door.

Those horses/mule/donkeys are all very pretty!:) I especially loved Ava! She is gorgeous! I love seeing horse pics! Not many people put horse pics up! Its great to see these three beautys. Hope to see more of em soon:D

Oh wow! Ava is so beautiful! I love her coloring! How tall is she? I wish I had a horse...lol oh well. She's so pretty! I love her boyfriend too! He's adorable! All of the animals up here are beautiful[Ava especially] I agree, no one puts horsey things up here, lol.I'm glad you showed these to us.

I have yet to exactly measure her, but somewhere around 16hh. Mmm, she had some kind of a fly allergy or something, that's what we're thinking. It basically just from her head to about her girth area. Around the face there was hair loss and sores, on the chest hairloss and itchy patches, and the little bit on her body was just welts. We tried a lot of things, but it's mostly just management. If everything goes ok, by the summer I will probably move her to a place where there isn't as much gnats and stuff, there is a slow moving creek that is in the middle of the property.

You can see here, it was just starting-notice a little bit around the face, in the ears, and on the chest. At first it was really just the face, and I purchased a "fly collar" that goes around the neck near the poll, and it helped somewhat but then she just got attacked on her body.

I love that picture of foxy!! I have two horses and live in Michigan, but I'm actually from south Florida. Winters here are brutal for me and my animals.
As soon as I can we're heading for Ocala,Florida. Horse country. How much do you pay for a bale of hay in Tampa? Hay here goes from 2-4$ per bale. Right now I'm up to 700 bales a year. (two horses a donkey, two goats and a calf) Crazy huh? But it's a labor of love. I'm gonna try to upload photos, but I don't know if it will work. Beth

I love Ocala...horse central :). For what kind of hay? $6-7 for coastal and between $9-11 for T&A.
