I don't put up a tree every year but this year I'm in the holiday spirit. :) We had to buy a new tree- it's a bit cheap, but with lots of lights it still looks cheery (and if you look closely you can see Seine's paws under it):

This is the first time in years that we've actually gotten a real tree. The artificial one we have just takes too long to put up, each individual branch has to be put on then spread out and I just didn't want to deal with it this year. So, we get this tree and I have put all the same stuff I usually put on on the old tree and it just looks naked to me. I've added some pine cones, collected them from the neighbors yard and painted them and have purchased some BIG ornaments and think I'm finally satisfied with it now.

Beautiful trees everyone!! We usually put ours up right after Thanksgiving, but it still isn't up yet. :o We do all that fancy decorating with the different ribbons and all that matchy stuff, but I dont even know if we are putting it up this year! I told my mom I really didn't feel like helping her last weekend, so I'm not sure if it will ever go up, good thing Christmas isn't at our house this year! :p

I finally got my tree up tonight. Most of the decorations go back to when I was a little kid. Here's my Charlie Brown Christmas Tree:

http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b152/CosmoMaxie/XmasTree2006.jpg?t=1165374154

Maxie wants to know where the kitty cats are in the doggy themed manger:

A close up of the doggy manger. My sister made it last year for me. Every year, she is going to add another dog. If you can spot Joseph in the manger, that is Fenway's fur. She cut it off him when she dog sat him last year:

I Loooooove the doggie manger!!!

Here's mine...

The 1st pic is my best attempt of getting the pups to sit still near the tree!

My tree is fake and I don't put all the branches on it, I leave off the back branches so the tree can sit flush up against the wall and take up less room!

Elizabeth, the doggie manger is sooo cute! I had never seen something like that before.

We'll probably put our tree up on Friday. It's an artificial one.

Here is my tree.. something of a rarity here in small town China; I had to go four hours on a bus to Guangzhou to buy it and then bring it home the same way. Quite an adventure but worth it I think :)

My kitties appreciate it anyway -- every night [IMG]they "steal" a new toy!

That is probably one of the greatest ideas I have ever heard of! Seriously! My living room is so tiny, and jammed with toys that I might do that, too!

Thats what we did this year too. We also left out the whole bottom tier of branches. It made a HUGE difference! My HUGE tree no longer looks so HUGE and fits just perfectly in the room. An added bonus us that none of the cats have even attempted to climb the branches like they've done in the past

Elizabethann, You're "Charlie Brown Tree" is so Beautiful~ and of course, I was drawn to the Doggie Navity Scene, Maxie's Espression was such a Bonus!!

Lilith Cherry~ That Christmas Tree is AWESOME~ and, Thank You for that Version of *Winter Wonderland* ;)

and now, drum roll-----, symbols-----Dorothy managed to decorate the tree with a puppy looking on. I have a lot of "very old " ornaments on this little tree

I usually set antique toys underneath it, but I didn't want to take a chance with Jackie~ The old sled doesn't phase her in the least. :D

Here is my little tree. I really do have ornaments for it but like it better without them. It's a fiber optic tree and it's so pretty just watching the colors change. The little green blob on top is an angel on a bell. There is a pic of it too. The little nativity set is one I made years ago. The angel beside it is a new one I just got. I painted the picture on the wall too! It was already stamped on the fabric, I just painted it. :D

Unfortunately, I left my fiber-optic Christmas tree in Michigan in my SIL's garage. Because of the limited space in my studio apt., I really don't have the room to put up a tree. That's okay. I just light my mistletoe scented candles, close my eyes, inhale and imagine the most beautiful tree I can. Works for me! :p

I absolutely LOVE decorating for Christmas! I put our tree and decorations up a while ago. We decorated our windows, the patio door and outside - we are participating in a decorating contest. We won second place last year and got $100. First place is $150, which we're hoping to get this year... They're a little blurry, but I had to turn the flash off to get a decent picture.

You can only do that if you post your picture on-line first; like on own website, or on a site where you can store pics and from where they allow you to link! "Photobucket" is the best one for this!
Here is the link. Register (it is free) and start uploading your pics. Then you copy the URL and post it on PT! Piece of cake :)
