View Full Version : Connor is on his way!

I just got back from dropping Connor off at the airport - he is on his way to Cheryl (Emily_The_spoiled) in Washington.

It's almost 1 in the morning here, and after such an emotional day, I just want to crawl into bed and cry myself to sleep. I've been crying all day - I love my big fat balding tail-less deaf furkid so much. :(

Thanks again to everyone who made this possible, with your support and donations.

If you want to track Connor's progress, you can do so here (http://www.baworldcargo.com/tracking/results.jsp). The waybill number is: 125-21334095

I'll be back online in the morning, hopefully things will look better after some sleep. :(

GOOD LUCK Connor!!! Have a great flight. And don't be afraid, you are going to a GOOD place.

{{{{{{{{{Julie}}}}}}}}} I know how hard this must be. How sad it had to be like this. Maybe one day you will be reunited.

Julie, I have been wondering about you and the kitties and how you managed to work everything out. Connor is going to be fine! How could he not be? :) Hang in there and have sweet dreams. I know you are ready to join your husband and daughter.

I'm praying for a safe and uneventful journey for Connor. Also, that Connor will remain calm throughout the journey, not feel too scared, and arrive safely in Washington. I certainly will be thankful for THAT.

Thanks for the updates Phred - what would we do without our very own international Pet Talk Air Traffic Controller! :) :D

I hope Connor is not too scared - at least he can't HEAR all the strange noises! I had to pack food and water for his Heathrow stopover - hope their is a nice Air Hostess to give you your breakfast, my angel!

The house feels empty - even Ally is upset, and she was never Connor's Number 1 fan!

HE IS HERE!!!!

Well he made it!!!!! It was a long flight for him and they changed his carrier in London, then he had a 3 hour car ride back to my place (although the airport is less than 45 miles). After the hour and a half mark he started to complain, but who could blame him I was thinking the same thing

He is now in the spare bedroom with wet food, dry food, water, and a litter box. I think he will be much happier, but I suspect that it will be a few days before he is fully recovered.

It looks like he and Oliver (my other deaf guy) will be able to compete to see who is the loudest

AWW that's typical of Connor - he is a big softie, and just loves attention. One funny thing to try when he is a bit more settled - if you give him scritchies on his back, about an inch above the stump of his tail, he goes into a trance and licks the air - it's sooo funny!!

I am so glad he feels comfortable and relaxed enough already to come to you for luvvies! I'm looking foward to hearing how the intro's go.

Well Connor is out and about today. Yesterday he decided to "introduce himself" to the other cats in the household and there weren't any problems. So he is now out enjoying the entire house.

Yesterday he even tried to "help" me lay some ceramic tile in the family room ... not that he was great help

He even slept on the bed last night. I will admit that since he in not quite a light on his feet as some of the other cats and he woke me up when he jumped on the bed (and then proceeded to walk on me :D )

Unfortunately he hasn't quite got the idea yet that he HAS to eat all his wet food when it is put out or else there isn't any left over. My sweet Emily has a problem knowing when to quit eating and she will clean everyone's plate
