This is a great example of the hard work that goes on behind the scenes
in the governments tireless efforts to end hunger in America.

Seems more like change without progress.

Liz,

(No, I'm not picking on Pres. Clinton here, just bureaucrats)

It all depends on what the meaning of "Is" is, after all! :p

I wonder if the rumbling in the tummy sounds different...feels different ....when it is food insecurity instead of hunger?

Reminds me of when companies started..."downsizing" and "rightsizing" etc....instead of firing. Does it feel different to be rightsized than to be fired?

A friend of mine always tell the story of when she was a child...if she and her sibling complained they were starving...her father would pile them in the car and take them to a very poor neighborhood and say..."now those children are hungry...you just want to eat!"

While not put into the car and driven anywhere, I, too, was taught the difference between my offhanded comment, "I am starving", and the reality of the situation. :o

Wow! It makes me feel like I have no confidence in food or something. :p

Psych: What's your problem?
Me: I am insecure... about food. :(

:D
