I took Eddie for his annual physical last week. The vet asked if there were any problems with him. I told her his only problem is his rather bizarre affection for his blinkie.

She explained, in front of Eddie, that it is believed this is a result of being weaned too early.

Since that conversation....Eddie doesn't want his blinkie!!! No more screaming until I give it to him....when I put it on the floor for him he sniffs....and walks away.

Were his feelings hurt by the vet? Does he resent having been analyzed? Or has this insight changed how he feels about his blinkie?

You know cats don't like being humiliated.

I wonder what Eddie is going to do in revenge? Dash at your ankles as you open the door to guests so you fall into them? Cough up a hairball deep into the casserole you are making for a pot-luck? You won't know until your face is red. Keep an eye on Eddie!

To look at Eddie today, you'd never guess that he was a deprived
kitten. I'll bet he feels better now that he has that out in the open. :D
Good for you Edwardo. :)

Oh, no, poor Eddie! Maybe after his pride recovers, he will use his blinkie again.

Oh Eddie, you silly boy, I'm sure when the humiliation is forgotten, you'll go looking for that blanket again! ;) Or perhaps you just want a different one?

Maybe our dear sweet Eddie is finally growing up. He's not your "itty bitty widdle man" anymore and doesn't need his blinkie to be safe.

...or could it be it just needs washing??? :p

I hope one day, you and your blinkie will be back together again. :)
