Finally, after 2 weeks, I am ready to sit down and write about my trip to the States.

As you know, I was going there to be at my friend’s wedding. She has left Moldova at the end of July and after a civil ceremony here, they planned to have a religious ceremony in DC. Because her household effects did not arrive in time, her wedding dress would not have arrived in time for the wedding, so my mission, as a Maid of Honour was to get a dress. Miraculously, I found a dress the day before I had to leave, so it worked out well. The dress was almost like hers, even I couldn’t see the difference. So, mission accomplished.

My friend has been in DC before and she knew the place already, so we did a lot of sightseeing, shopping. I got SEVEN pair of shoes plus one pair of slippers :). I had to borrow a suitcase from my friend, even though I came with one spare suitcase.

We had to spend a lot of time on the wedding and preparations, but I did manage to visit some places too: Baltimore and Fort McHenry,

Of course, being in the States and not meeting any PetTalker is impossible
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid218/p30b00222b2d0dadc9a76804a24dabc16/ec2f3b72.jpg . As you can see, I met Lbaker and Emily_the_spoiled. We had a nice evening together, unfortunately Laurie had to leave earlier, but I enjoyed the meeting very much :)

I have really good impressions – I’d definitely go there again. There still are a few places to see.

There were a few things that really impressed me, but I’ll tell you about one of them. One morning, we had breakfast in a coffee shop and when we left, I took the umbrella, but forgot my handbag. I only realized I didn’t have it when we got to a different place (after getting lost twice J). We decided to go back look for it. Of course! I still had 900 dollars and my driver’s license there. Again, getting lost twice, it took us about an hour and a half to get back. I did get the handbag with ALL the money in it.

Monticello is one of most favorite places. What a genius -- Thomas Jefferson! And look at the wonderful fall colors..... Glad you had a great trip and a positive experience!

Wow, we don't hear from you for ages, and then ... you've been everywhere, and seen everyting. :) :D Even panda cubs and tiger cubs - so cute!!

And you look stunning! How long were you there for? You certainly didn't waste any time. LOL! I'm SO envious you got to meet Laurie and Emily the Spoiled.

Who is the guy you're walking in with? Your future husband?

Hehehe, that's not my future husband, that's already someone's husband.

American tradition says that the Maid of Honour walks in with the Best Man, is that right? This was the groom's brother.

I can see why you took 2 weeks to write about your trip - you had to REST up! My goodness, you did more in your visit than many people do in a lifetime! The wedding looks like it was lots of fun, you look lovely! And all the photos are terrific. What grand memories you have! Thanks for telling us about it.

You certainly got a lot of sight seeing done.
Travelling is so educational and rewarding.
You see places like Gettysburg where the History of the USA was changed , and it was Great to get together we bet, and talk Cats.
Maybe One Day, I will visit some Pet Talkers where the foot has healed.

Excellent photos! Going to America is definately something I want to do in the future. Went on my first holiday to Paris this year, so hopefully one day.

My brother in the summer went on a 6 week trip around America and loved it, he went to New York, Atlanta, Georgia, Memphis, San Francisco, Houston, and loads of other places I can't remember! He had such a great time.
I want to do the same when I'm a bit older, and have better finances!! Lol
The trip cost him around £12,000. For himself, his wife and two boys. Tha'ts about $22,000 I think!
