I think he adores it and why shouldn't he? It looks great.

BTW, Loki is an excellent name for a kitten, especially a tabby.

YOU GO! That is awesome and it looks nice. Loki seems to really like it and knows exactly what it is for. Isn't it amazing what they charge in the stores for some little something for these fur kids? Make is at home and save tons!

Thanks guys!! I am so pleased with myself! I think I will eventually try my hand at a bigger, more extravagant one, but for now, this one works! Loki played so much on it, that he is passed out already!:D

Looks terrific and Loki obviously agrees! You sure don't have to teach a cat to scratch!

Very nice job on the entertainment center for Loki! :D I have looked at them also in the stores, and am amazed at the price they are asking! I may just have to try to make on myself as I am sure my girls would enjoy lounging on one.

Dad and I have made two to save on the cost. Also, to get the size, shape, and style I want. We made one to fit the picture windows in the front living room.

I always want ones with sides so the cat can't fall off. I had a bad experience with my first cat, Amber (Mr. Amber Cat). He fell asleep and fell off and hit his head a few times and slipped a disc in his spine once. He was on pain meds the rest of his life.

Make sure it is steady, cats don't like to feel wobbles under their feet. And if you can, make the base 1 inch larger all around than the top parts. If you have older cats, you want to make the sides a bit higher so a small pillow will fit in, to give those old bones something soft to be on. Those a few things we have learned along the way.

I really like yours, it seems the perfect height for Loki to stretch and reach and play! And most important, he loves it!

Yup! 6 Dollars! I had all the wood, screws and staples, all I had to buy was the carpet! it only took me an hour to build, and is very sturdy! And of course, as you can tell, Loki actually uses it, so that is a huge bonus!
