How is it great for people with asthma  Is it the air or something??

borzoimom
10-31-2006, 05:56 PM
Because the air is dryer, less mold, and the grass pollen and tree pollen doesnt last as long.

I'm in Florida but I'm so close to Georgia (15 minutes) that my town is more like Georgia with the southern accents and slow-paced, sit-on-your-front-porch ways :p. Although it is also a college town and the state capitol so it also has a melting pot of people from other cities/states. When I am able to, I want to move to a neighboring town to get away from the college students. This area though is very nice and the people are great.

That is cool! We actually lived closer to Berryville (in the country), but I figured you would know where Winchester was.

We lived there when I was in kindergarten till after I finished 3rd grade. It was really hard to move- I still love it out there and still have a friend from kindergarten that I visit occasionally. I haven't been there in about 4 years though. It's really a beautiful place!

Canada, where it is always raining, freezing raining, hailing or snowing. And ALWAYS windy. What's wrong with Florida??? :p

The other day, When I was walking with Jen the wind blew down a tree (I think the word is diameter.... ) that was about a foot (through the middle) the tree looked perfectly healthy, too. Not old or dead or anything. Huge oak in the middle of a field, it didn't have much protection from the wind, even before it fell, it was all bent to one side. Large trees blowing down really isn't uncommon around here.

Rhode Island, the Ocean State. Smallest state in the Union!

Actually, I have "only" lived here about 12 years. Born and raised in Massachusetts, and now less than a mile from the Mass. state line. I lived in Falmouth, Maine for 5 years before moving here to RI. That was a big change. Car insurance TRIPLED.

Maine: drive straight for 4 miles and you are still in Maine.
RI: drive 20 minutes and, if you are still in RI you went around in a circle!

Maine, my last year there and the reason I moved: 127 inches of snow for the winter.
RI, my first year here (and it was only slightly below the average): 6 snow storms, total of 8 inches for the winter.

Maine: 3 seasons: winter, mud season, and the Fourth of July.
RI: 4 seasons: Rainy Season, Summer, Autumn, and Ice Storm Time.

But I love them both, te hee.
