Two Seniors and a Baby

Oh Lordy, Lordy, Lordy, :p

I've been given a 6 weeks old~ Lab/mix ~puppy~ That's right :eek: ;)




Just this past Saturday, My son and Daughter-in-law brought her into our home and set her in my lap!!! :eek: :cool:

Talk about Sheer Heaven on Earth!!!



So.............Now I have my daughters' 2 Senior German Sheperds, who have been visiting, AND, a Puppy.


(Hexay says to Kasha:What do ya think, :rolleyes: , Wanna go back home :D )

I've been reeeeally busy, as you might guess, what with shopping for a crate, a collar, a leash, and figuring out just what to feed this little warm bundle of LOVE.



I'm gradually staying ahead of the game here, with the potty breaks, food stations (Senior and Puppy food juggling tricks ;) ) and the play periods!!!! However, I still haven't come up with a name for her.

I know after I *really* get to know her better, the name will come to mind.




She has been * Welcomed* by all the Grand-Dogs, and the Huuuman Family Members can't get enough of her.

I couldn't have ever gotton THIS FAR ~ without PET TALK!!!!!

I feel like I just got home from the Hospital with a "New Born Baby:"

(So Doctor, What is it, a boy or a girl?~~~Doctor scratches his head~.....Uh, Dorothy.........It looks like a Pup!!!! :D )

We're thinking and thinking of Names every day.

We started out with the name, Nova. Mostly because the * Star* is my favorite shape, and...my ~Husband has really taken good care of our 1973 Nova (he's a car crazy fella) All of our kids think this is a cool name, .....

Here'a few other names that I have thought of;

Lute: I have thought of a few names on your list, ~~~ Darla~~~ as well as Joplin. Your suggestions will be useful. My Husband seems to favor the name "Jackie", he's starting to call her Jackie Girl already.


M&M&M --Wouldn't that be fun , letting Missy, Mocha and Muffin come over to play. I really liked that name Midnight Magic too. It just seems to fit in with the time of Year and how she magically lit me up like a Jack-O-Lantern!!!!


This Wee Little Pup came from a litter of 10!! I learned that her mommy is a Tan colored Lab and that her father is a Springer/Spanial mix!!!

I'm sooo blessed with a sense of humor , having to laugh at the situation that I got into while falling in LOVE with this cutie.

I keep Hexay's Senior Innova in a molded plastic bin , with a built in holder for food and water.

Like wise, I bought a few little tiny bowls that we could use for the Puppy's water. I can't imagine why 2 Senior German Sheperd would resort to drinking out of a timble sized dish, when they have full access to a large bowl of the same fresh water. It just cracked me up!!!

Hmmm that would be a tiny bit wierd having two Georgias here on Pet Talk *scratches head* My girl's name is Georgia. ;) Although it does look like a name that fits her well^^

Yes , Jackie is a real keeper alright, and she is helping me adjust to not having a dog to call my own.

Today , we had snow flurries and I had to take her out to do her widdle wee wee~~~It just cracked me up, watching her put her snout into the light layer of snow that was covering up the grass!!!

afterwards, she took off running like a tiny Black Bear Cub, falling over her front feet , and lookin real goofy. :D

I took a few pictures, but haven't downloaded them yet.

Okay, I did~ ;)

Jackie is really getting used to being "the Only child", now that Hexe and Kasha have gone home.

Here she is , seeing SNOW, for the first time. She won't be wearing the little coat for long though, she now weighs 11 1/2 lbs!!!!

The snow has since melted away ( just like the wicked witch of the West :cool: )

But, It was so Wonderful, seeing a Puppys first experience with SNOW!!!


She is such a LOVER too!!

Jackie is so adorable! And such a fashion plate in her jacket!!! It's tough and a lot of work, but soon, OH! ever so quickly, you'll look back and barely remember how much work puppyhood was! It's worth every minute. And a seed has been planted in my heart for quite a while....... :eek:

Here are a few recent pictures of our Pup~ Jackie!!

She will be ten weeks old on the 18th!!

I have been very successful in teaching her the "sit' command, and the "come" command. Jackie is of course, very smart :cool:



She certainly loved the snow that we are received tonite. She begged me (whining is her specialty at times) to take her outside tonight and was overwhelmed with the thin layer of snow that was on the grass and in the air !!

I laughed so hard, watching her run through it!!! :D She looked so darned cute!!

And Yes k9karen, Jackie is sort of spoiled ;) But she's sooo smart and deserves praise most of the time anyway.She asks to go outside to do her duty by sitting by the door whining~ The rain that we had all day yesterday didn't phase her in the least!!!
