adorable pic! my Sapphire had a little sleepover in the dryer once, but luckily it wasn't turned on and we took her out the next morning. i suspect she thought my bath towels to be perfect blankets!

Rascal has never been interested in the open door of the dryer - even with warm clothing still there. What worries me is that he is fascinated by the open washer - and always has his head in there to see what is going on. He also likes to jump on the washer even with the lid up - but he always manages to jump on the edge and so far, hasn't fallen in. But there is always a first time, and I am pretty careful. Can you just imagine if he fell in?
It doesn't agitate with the lid up - but wouldn't it be fun to fish him out of a tub of water? I can hardly wait!:) :)

Cute picture, Sara, but there is a serious word of caution here. We had a reporter who didn't know his cat was alseep in the dryer. This guy closed the door and turned it on. His cat didn't survive. I hate to be a downer on this one, but many people have made this mistake. It only takes a second to check the inside first. Also before starting your car, bang on the hood to make sure a cat isn't curled up in your engine to keep warm.

Didn't mean to dampen anyone's day. Just trying to prevent anymore tragedies.

Moosmom--

Do you have a pet named Moo? I have a cat named Mooey, or Moo for short. So you could say I am "Moosmom" too! :)

That is a cute picture. My Katie girl just loves to jump into the dryer, after a load is finished, during the winter time. So i keep a towel near by to put in for her. Fortunately there has never been an accident, but my laundry does take longer to do on the days she decides to sleep for a few hours in there. Gosh what we don't do for our furbabies eh.:)

Good point, Moos - we all know Sara wouldn't intentionally suggest harm ---

We've all been there in some way. Our dryer is out in the garage behind another door. Since Ritz is indoor only, there aren't a lot of chances, but we do dance gingerly when we step at night so we don't accidentally step on Ritz.

Cats are "heat seeking" - If I leave a basket of freshly dried towels unattended, it is not uncommon to find a pile of black and white fur neatly curled on the top of it
