Well, since you are posting this in Cat General, I am guessing they are cats.
I'm hoping that you are helping out a fellow Pet Talker, and that they are two black and white girl kitties from Maryland named Kimi and Maya.
(If it's not them, maybe you can help them too.) :)

Oh my goodness! MORE little ones?! Is this typical for Cat Talk? I have only been on here since August and I am absolutely amazed at how many tiny ones you folks take in and care for.

Jen, they are SO cute! What's their story, anyone know what happened to mom? How they came to be in foster care?

I could never do it, bottle feed fosters - I would KEEP them after all that bonding! Best wishes to you! Thanks for the pics!

OMG Jen, they are absolutely adorable. It's a good thing that a certain someone, who shall remain nameless, didn't get these two widdle tabbies. :p

Good luck Jen bottle feeding these two. I pray that they make it easier on you and take to the bottle.

I'm sure you know everything you need to know about raising orphaned kittens, but just in case you need a refresher course, here is a good link;

Wishing you all the best with these two Jen. :)

They are too too sweet.

I am sure you are the best cat mom substitute they could dream of :)

Well, the boys got fed right before I went to bed. And then at 12:30 and at 3:30 and just when I woke up (moments ago) about 5:30.

At this point I am not certain they are getting enough, so my daytime feedings will be closer together.

They have not really "gotten" the bottle thing 100% yet, but the darker one did quite well at his last feeding.

They "pee-pee" well, but no poop. Do they poop this young? How often?
(Off to do some reading). :D

Oh Jen, they are beautiful!!!

Bottle babies do poop, believe me. It could be that they just don't have enough in their system to make a poop.

Bottle babies are SO rewarding to care for! Watching them grow and thrive is the best "magic" to see.

I'm sure you know this but, have you got a heating pad under them (on low, of course). Another thing is possibly putting in a Beanie "buddy" cat in with them, that they can cuddle up to.

You are SO lucky. I love caring for bottle babies. I don't care how much sleep I DON'T get. It's SO worth it.

Keep them pictures coming girl!!! ;)

Hi Jen! What cute babies and what lucky little guys choosing you to foster them. Your new boys couldn't possibly be in better hands. Groucho sends you lots of kitty hugs and kisses for giving these little ones a chance for a PT life.
Bless you!!!

Well what on EARTH took you so long? Only the first bottle babies? I've raised plenty here (unless a surogate mom can be found) and want to add one tip I don't see mentioned anywhere on websites that tell how to feed babies. I use the bottles with elongated tips, and with very sharp scissors I cut a small X from the tip, down toward the cap. This allows better milk flow and the babies don't get worn out trying to suckle with the 'hot needle hole" advice given most places. Also if they tend to suck the bottle flat while they nurse, slowly loosen the cap to allow air to flow back into the bottle. The younger the baby, the smaller the X that I cut, and as they get more proficiant at sucking I cut it a bit longer. And nothing beats having a dog to help with ahem 'diaper dooty'. ;) They may not poop for a day or so as they're adjusting to formula that doesn't quite come from the Dairy Queen. I have a great recipe that I swear by that's easy cheap, nourishing and doesn't cause the diarrhea that KMR can cause. But seeing as you just have two wee ones, KMR does the trick. For larger litters I use the homemade formula that was published in Cat Fancy some years back. ;) Have fun Meewmie! :D
