Hi everyone! I'm new here. I have two dogs named Midnight and Kino, they are both rescues. We figured they were Malamutes because their coats are quite thick to be huskies. Here are pictures:
Our beautiful Husky, Lilly had died of old age at 12 years old. She'd been my dog since I was born, my parents had her before I was born. A while after her death we went to the pound to find a dog to adopt. We saw a pup about 7 months old, that looked like a Malamute. After lots of thinking we went back and adopted him. We named him Midnight because of the streaks of black on his body. Midnight is very protective of his property and very caring & loving for his family. I'm very glad we adopted him! He's now 5 years old and a very loving boy.

About a year after adopted Midnight we were searching for another Malamute, one because we were ready for another dog and two because Midnight seemed like he needed a play mate. We were looking in the newspaper for a breeder, but what we found was an ad that said MALAMUTE NEEDING HOME ASAP. APPROX. 1 YEAR OLD. SPAYED and a phone number. We went to look at her and fell in love at first sight and took her home that day. As he name was ridiculos, we renamed her to Kino and she caught onto her name immedietly. Her and Midnight made immediate friends. She isn't as territorial as Midnight, she always has a wagging tail and is submissive. We still love her and we're sure she loves us! Now she is about 4 years old and we love her!
