"Running is what I do best! I'm not letting a few stitches stop me! Plus I"m getting used to being around all these other dogs."

wow, that's quite a zipper job! Anvik looks no worse for the wear - what a great smile he's got! p.S. - I vote that Anvik gets his own big house, too! ;)

Oh my, you certainly can't keep a good (and handsome) man down. :D But you really do have to be careful, Anvik (of both the stitches and of Heyoka, if he catches you in his house). ;)

!

He still wears the jacket at night or when I can't watch him. He's been really good about leaving the stitches alone though.

I'm sorry I was unable to respond to your other thread but he's been in my thoughts. Glad to hear he's doing so well. I hope he stays calm enough that he doesn't re-injure himself. lol

Thanks, he was back at the vet yesterday. I thought he had an infection, but my vet assures me it's just a normal collection of post-surgical fluids. Apparently it would be reabsorbed, but if not, he would need a drain put in. Anvik decided to take care of it himself yesterday. He partially popped a stitch, nothing major, just a tiny hole. All the fluid drained on it's own! I think he did it on purpose as he hasn't touched the stitches since! I'm grateful to him for that actually--means he avoids more surgery and I don't have to flush a drain for a week! I hate wound drains!

Has Anvik enrolled in Pre-Med?

And have you PAID for Him - yet?

Heck - he's "saving" you money left & right ...
be a shame if the Re-Po guy showed up and wanted him back.

Watch out if you spot him taking a beer out of the fridge!

:D

Saving me money!! ROFL!!!! Yeah, right! Tell that to my bank account!

I haven't paid his adoption fee yet. At this point, it doesn't really work in the shelter's favor! IF he's a foster, technically they should reimburse me close to 1000 dollars for his vet bills! If he's adopted, I owe them 190 for his fee. Trust me, they don't want him back! Adoption rates are not high for five year old sled dogs who leap tall fences in a single bound, have health issues and scream like they are being tortured on a daily basis! He disappeared from the shelter website very quickly after I pulled him!

He's not allowed in the house unless he leashed to me or in his crate. He tried to eat Polly Paws(my house feral cat)! He might steal a beer from my hand since some days he does drive me to drink, but he won't be getting in the fridge on his own!! ;)

Uhhhh, Anvik - those "Furry lil Snacks" are Mom's PETS - and are NOT to be
chased, munched upon, or otherwise molested! http://petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/rolleyes.gif

So, are you suggesting ole Anvik may have become "LOST" in the Shelter records? http://petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/tongue.gif

Sure hope he settles down a bit -
you could prolly stand to give up the Howls of Death Screams!

He's a husky. They often have difficulty telling the difference between cat and snack...sigh...... Fortunately, Anvik had a muzzle on when he went for Polly so no harm done. She gave him a good whap on the nose. Hopefully, he'll remember that. I've lost one cat to the dogs(not in the house, she escaped into yard), my heart can't take that again so I'm very careful about the inter-species interactions!

I think there are a few dogs here who are technically lost from the shelter's records! I know Chum just disappeared, but that's a long story! I'll post it again on his gotcha day in early December!

I could certainly live without the Death Howl! I don't mind when he's excited about something, like dinner or going for a run, but the rest of the time I could live without ever hearing that sound again!

I could certainly live without the Death Howl! :D Any chance of catching his famous Death Howl on video with sound? Before your neighbors freak? Maybe you can take him into an airplane hanger or something...like his next trip to the vets? ;)

I have his happy scream on video. When he's waiting to get hooked up, he sounds like sick seal! I'll try to get the death howl on tape soon!
