As you may or may not know, Kirk is recovering from his first of two TPO surgeries. Keeping him quiet has been a challenge (to say the least) and has only gotten increasingly difficult as he has healed. I ordered a bunch of "intelligence building toys" recently and he has really taken to them. I was curious to know if others find that their dogs enjoy these types of toys and which ones are more popular. I've never seen them in any of the stores here, so I ordered them online.

We now have:
Hide-A-Bird info (http://www.sitstay.com/store/toys/intelli1.shtml)
Egg Baby (Turtle)
I Qube II
Rip 'Em (Watermelon) info (http://www.sitstay.com/store/toys/soft5.shtml)

He just loves the watermelon toy – it has little bells (they call it an 'internal rattle') in it and I think he enjoys the change from squeakers and grunters.

I'm also curious to know if anyone has experience with Tuffie toys? (info (http://www.sitstay.com/store/toys/soft3.shtml)) I'd like to be able to have a soft toy that I can leave with him when I'm not actively supervising. These toys are expensive, but I'm wondering if they might be worth it (if they are truly as tough as they make them to be). Any reviews?

I wish I could put some pictures in this thread so you could see Kirkie with his toys, but I'm having camera troubles right now. :(

So, I'll give the thread a little ~bump~...

Nebo has some of those...I think he has the bird, bee, and squirrel one. He likes the squirrel one the best. I got them through Ryan's Pet supplies, I think they sell them at Petco too but they are more expensive. Thanks for reminding me they exist, I'll have to see if I can dig mine out. Nebo really enjoyed pulling the little squirrels out of their tree. :D

I have no experience with "Tuffie" toys but judging by how Nebo destroyed his "indestructible" dog bed I don't think it would last here if I left him alone (in his crate) with it....otherwise he does not destroy toys at all.
