View Full Version : So Small .... from tiny sickling to healthy nawtee boy!!!

I was wondering the other day, where my little cuddly So Small kitty went. He is now a wild boy, a mischief maker, and more than not ... a crime instigator!!! He is always in the middle of trouble wherever he goes. If I am quietly sitting down and enjoying love-time with all the kitties, he is pulling at my socks, biting my leg, or untying my shoe strings! Hardly ever does he settle down long enough to let me really pet him, or much less, cuddle with him. Where did my sweet baby boy go?????

So, I decided to do a little research .... a little delving back into his past. Here is what I found:

So Small began his life as the tiniest, sickliest, the RUNT of a litter of seven kittens! He was half the size of his siblings and had to be fed separately in my kitchen in order to get his share.

There were times, he even begged and prayed for his fair share of food:

Once he finally had a full tummy, he was Daddy's little cuddle baby:

Only after a couple of months, just when he was getting on his little feet, he caught a nasty URI .... more problems for So Small:

Throughout his struggles, So Small relied on much TLC and R&R:

Afterall, growing up when you started way behind, is a tiring job!

Then one day it happened .... So Small decided it was time to break out of the sickly kitten scenario, assert himself, get some CATITUDE!!!

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y244/kimlovescats/So%20Small/11.jpg

He slowly began his lifelong ambition of getting into MISCHIEF:

He began his quest in attaining new heights:
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y244/kimlovescats/So%20Small/Img_1796.jpg

and finally today, he is the full blown NAWTEE boy that he is:

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y244/kimlovescats/So%20Small/WildBoy101606.jpg

Looking back, I now realize just how far he has come, and what a survivor he has been .... so although he is full of nawteeness and mischief, I wouldn't have him ANY OTHER WAY! :D

Funny you should say a children's book! He was actually named after my favorite childhood book called "So Small"!!! It was about a teeny tiny mouse! :D

Thank you! I just want to be an encouragement to those here who get so worried when their kitties are so sick with the URI. In most cases, they pull through just fine. I've seen many near the point of dehydration and death, and with fluid therapy and hands on care, they come back "amongst the living"! ;)

You read my mind Kim! I have been searching for a thread on him and was fixing to beg for one.

WELL! Looks to me like he has sure outgrown his name! Now he should be called Mr. Bigger Boy! (He will forever be So Small to us though) That is a tribute to you and all the other fosters who do what you do for these babies that only need a chance to thrive and what a little TLC will do. He is such a handsome boy, from a cute little baby to a big handsome boy!

The best things come in small packages, and this is so very true when it comes to your (formerly) tiny kitten! what a wonderful story and what great pictures to go with it. SS is truly a little love (never mind the naw-tee-ness) and all of us breathe a collective sigh of "AWWWWW!".
