of Riley! She was just enjoying the great weather that we had today and I needed a subject in order to play with the new camera. Still need to read the manual, but these were all taken in the auto modes.

Watching the world go by.

Playing with her ball. I never threw it, she was making her own games up.

And lastly, smelling the flowers.

Thanks for the really nice comments everyone! I'll be sure to pass them on to Riley.

Yep, Dorothy39 without reading the manual. It's kind of cheating though as a lot of the icons and functions are so similar between digital cameras. ;)

Orangutango, when Riley was a puppy I would have sworn she had toller in her. She does remind me of Tango, but with the bigger build of the golden that's mixed into her.

It's great to see Riley again! She's such a pretty dog. :) What kind of camera did you get?

I was really split between the Sony H2 (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sonyh2/) and the Canon S3 (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canons3is/), but ended up choosing the Canon. I know how many people here like their S2 and S3's, so that helped a bit. The biggest deciding factor was I like the zoom control below the shutter and the Sony has it on the back of the case.

So far I've had a blast with it, and it can only get better. :)

Here's a video of what Frankie thinks of the new camera. (Don't mind the mess, it was laundry day and I have dirty laundry all over the place. :o )

That's my little whiney girl.

Took the new camera out to Daley Ranch. It's so hard not to keep going here because it's only 5 minutes from my front door and has 20+ miles of trails, so we can do something new each time.

I think you made a good choice with Canon, I have a Canon A95 and it has been great. I want to get an S3.

Great pics of Frankie (and lol at her whiney video :D) does she have brown in her fur? I never noticed that before, that's really unique.

Yep, she has a really weird coat that adds to the confusion of how many mixes she is made up of. She has a thick, but short double coat. The underside has white/brown and soft fur. The topside is black, coarse and it sheds water when she's wet. She loves to swim and dries out pretty quick. If you pet her when she is wet you can actually feel the water on top of the coat, but if you run your hand through the coat you can feel the softer coat that is mostly dry and then she starts to shake as the water gets all the way to her skin.

Those pictures of Frankie are so VIVID!!! I just can't believe how remarkable Digital Pictures can be in terms of clarity!!!

Frankie is such a Portrait Sitter!!!!!
