My dad brought home two new family members yesterday! I love them already. We now have two Bearded Dragons. male and female. He got them from a local breeder. Don't worry, my dad has been researching like crazy for YEARS. He's seriously wanted Beardies for over 5 years now. My dad is a complete lizard/snake/reptile freak.

I'm in love with the male already. He's a total sweetheart. The female will sit there while you hold her, but once you put her back in the cage she runs off of your hand to go sleep. The male however, loves me! I was holding him and just stroking his head and he just layed there all snuggled up in my hand. When I went to put him back in the cage he refused to leave my hand. I tried to gently nudge him back into the cage but he kept climbing back up into my hand. So yeah, I love him already. He's def. my favorite.

The female is missing part of her tail. I'm not sure how that happened. No one at the breeder would take her because she was missing part of her tail, but my dad took her!

They are about 2 months old.

The female is lighter in color and is bigger than the male. They dont have names yet.

Here are the pictures!

No, the red marks aren't blood, it is how the breeder marked them.

They bring the pack up to 3 dogs, 3 birds, 2 land hermit crabs, 3 salt water hermit crabs, a couple of snails, an anenome, and 2 Bearded Dragons. ^^

Sorry about that, I'm still getting used to the way the forums are on here.
Not sure why the name DOG General didn't click in my head.

Cool! When you pick them up, do the spikes stab you or anything?

Lol, no, they aren't sharp or anything. The top of the beardies are rough and they're bellies are squishy.

Hehe! I love beardies! :D They look bigger than the ones I've seen so maybe the ones I've seen are pretty young! O_O

They are, indeed, very sweet. :) I would like to say they have an affinity towards being held but I've only had experience with three and I don't want to make a blanket statement. :)

I would have one join the family but I am afraid that my cats would just spend all day staring at it, licking their lips.

We've had them for not even a week yet and they love being held by us. The male often doesn't want to be put back into the cage.
