My friend is taking mammalogy in university. Part of her course is trapping. They set up traps in a wooded area and catch small rodents and study them, then release them back where they were found.
She let me come with them today. (at like 6am -___-) It was really interesting. I feel bad for the animals, but I guess they're not getting hurt. I use to see it on TV all the time, and I would feel back because they seemed so frightened.
Anyway, they worked quickly so the animals could be released quickly.

I believe this was a meadow jumping mouse. They were doing measurements of him.

I think this was a deer mouse. (don't worry, the bag has air holes)
