It's a bit different than Mickey's, more smoother.. I'm having fun doing this! I wish I could find a tutorial, though, so I could learn shading.

Here's the picture I looked off.

So you do it by putting up the picture then coloring over it in paintshop or some program? Interesting, I've never done that. Looks like it would be fun.

Yep, I just created a new layer over top of the picture. I used to the lasso tool to outline my shapes and then filled in with the bucket. Very easy actually! Except furry dogs. lol But I like how Molly's white ruff came out.

wow -- thats great! I only wish my attempts at PaintShop (i think you mentioned that you were using this in another thread?) worked out as well ;)

Heres a couple of links that might be useful to you if you like playing with digital photos etc.

From the Digital Photo Challenge site, information on how certain digital photo effects were done:

Paint Shop Pro 8, the lasso tool, fill bucket, and patience. LOL It's quite simple, if you have the patience for it!

Thanks a lot everyone. :D I like the encouragement. I may try to do some shading tonight after homework.. I think it may be disastrous, though!

LOL, I need one too! I have PSP X, and I still don't understand even half of it! All I understand is the basics...but I hope that I will learn even more!

BC_MoM- That is AMAZING! My eyes widened when I saw it! Great job! I'm going to go try that right now!

That's really good! And, an interesting way to learn how to get comfortable with the process, also. I may get brave and try to do that.
