Yes, after more than 14 1/2 years, today is my official last day of work. My boss came back and said "I'm not good at this kind of stuff, but I wanted to let you know I really appreciate everything you've done over the years." Then he gave me a present and a card. The card was really nice and he said some nice stuff in it, and the present was.......remember now, I'm "retiring"......so yes, the present was a watch! A Movado Sport Edition(?). Here's a picture of it.

It looks a lot nicer than in the pic, and my skin looks awful in the pic too, but at least you get an idea.

So far I haven't cried....almost, but I maintained. We'll see what happens when I finally walk out the door. :)

What a beautiful watch! Congratulations, at least they are letting you know you've been appreciated. Now go enjoy that awesome motor home, and we'll catch you next time you drive through Findlay. ;)

Beautiful watch and so kind of your boss!

I was so glad to get out of my job, I bout turned cartwheels down the hall!!!

Just think of the new adventures that await you. If you ever get through Fort Scott, look for a yellow house and you'll find ME!!! Not exactly a thrill I know!!! ;) :D

It is sort of a bittersweet day for you, Debbie, I'm sure. Your watch is so nice and I think it was thoughtful of him to do something for you. It is what he SHOULD have done, since you have been so faithful to him for so long!

Can't wait to hear what is next for you!!!! :)

I was thinking about you this morning, I took my car in for service and the shuttle driver just went full time this year.

That watch is a very expensive watch ...and very pretty.

You should be oficially Retired by now and OUTTA There ...
Did you make it with or without tears?

14 1/2 years is a Long time these days - he should be greatful to you.
Wonder if he sprung for lunch or dinner?

Bad news is.....had I known, I would have only looked. ;)

Thanks everyone. I did make it out with no tears. Turned out to be a typical day where the s**t hit the fan and he had to run out and Ms. Newbie and I were running ragged until I had to leave. I barely had time to "officially" hand my chair over to her. (I kept my chair because all the others in the office were soooo uncomfortable. She's had to put up with the best of the worst while she's been there, she now officially has my comfy chair.)

Yes, he bought lunch. :D

Karen, are you kidding? I have so much I have to do today....we're leaving on vacation tomorrow and I have a million and one things that need to be done before we go. Just so happens Terry hopped in the shower first this morning so I decided to quick pop on to get an uppydate on Kiki. :( But once I hit the shower, it'll be go, go, go until this evening, then off to a busy vacation, then back home to do the final close out then maybe I'll be able to relax a little......at least during the drive to Arizona. Can't do much while we're driving..... ;) :D

Debbie my friend: I'm sorry that I never got a chance to talk to you but please know that I'm sending out the best of best and hope you guys have a wonderful and safe vacation. Hopefully we can touch base when I get back home. PS: Where can I mail something to you???

Wow, over 14 years in the same office - I bet your boss will miss you - and you may even miss him! But now a new life begins. :) You have taken quite a few trips in the mobile home already, so I know you'll get used to that life real quick. ;)

You know, ships take mobile homes too, so should you ever get the urge to explore Europe, I'd love to see you in Copenhagen! :D

All the best of luck with everything ... and big hugs! Stay in touch!

Debbie, what a great watch, and it was thoughtful of your boss to buy it for you. Sounds like a sweet guy.

This is a brand new beginning - and once you settle down and things are done, I think you will be thrilled with your decision.

Don't you kid yourself, they are going to really miss all that you did for the firm over those 14 1/2 years!!

Have a super vacation!

As a watch collector....I assure you...you can never have too many watches...plus the one you want to wear ALWAYS has a dead battery...so a back u is good.

Wear them in good health and good times...
