How to put pics in message?

How do you guys put pics of your pets IN your sig? I can see the icon to add the image but do I need to have the pic on a website in order to embed it? What website do you keep yours on? Any way to just import it from my computer?

I added one to my profile thinking that would make it come up in my sig - is there some other thing I need to turn on?

Yes, the picture needs to be on the Internet somewhere.
