No, nothing bad!!!
It just changed color!!
My bro had it painted because it needed it badly. He wanted yellow. He got yellow! I must say I like it. It sort of grows on you. It's really cheerful!
They aren't quite done yet. They need to put the storm windows back and do a few small things but this is about what it will look like. :D
You can even see some of my "surprise" lilies in the front aka "naked ladies"! :D

One strange thing, since it's been yellow, I have seen several yellow butterflies around the yard. There were none before when the house was white. Maybe they think it's their mommy!!! :D

Pop on over for tea!!!

Funny thing but when I first saw this house I told the realator it was a happy house. That's why I fell in love with it! :D

I have a problem with depression in the winter when everything is so dreary. I think this cheery color will help with that!!! :D

Oh Connie, it's breathtakingly beautiful!

I showed it to mom who also agreed that it was absolutely PERFECT for you. She said, "It's like chicken soup - makes you feel good." Well... you know my thoughts on chicken soup ( :p ), but I DO agree... very cozy and comforting!

I love it! Some houses just need some color to make them look like a home! Now it looks loved and lovable!

(Nothing against white houses, ours is white.)

:D I guess my little sunflower house is the talk of the town.
One of the city codes officers is married to one of the painters. She was here with him this morning and told me she has gotten lots of comments on the yellow house on my street.

I thought, oh lord, but she said they were all good comments. Everyone likes it!!!

Looks like we just made it under the wire. Seems the city is trying to put all buildings, including homes withing 500 feet of our Old Fort, under the jurisdiciton of the Federal Government. Our fort is a National Historic site now. I'm not sure my house it that close to the fort but if it is, I would have had to have gotten the Federal governments approval before I could even paint my house, and what color it could be. Any improvements and repairs would have to have their approval too.

Since we painted it before the government takes control of the town, they can't make us do anything. I really wish the govenment would butt out.
I'm hoping this falls through and the town remans ours. Lord only knows what the government will do with it.
