Just finished Tyson's new leash holder. Made from 7/8" thick Honduras Mahogany. Tyson had spa day Wed. then came home and ran thru the wading pool then into the flower beds.

Please tell me you have a store or something where you sell stuff like that? I mean, you are so freaking talented, it would be a shame not to. If I could make money doing something I enjoyed... why not?? Even if its a little on the side! :) I would kill for an Aussie one!! :)

No store just his work shop for relaxing from his own hard wood flooring business. But if you pm him or I we can talk about one for you. This one was a gift for me Tired of finding leashes on the kitchen counter.

What Kind Of Pattern Did U Use, Or Just A Pic To Get Ur Outline. I Cant Do Anything Like That It Is Truly Beautiful, My Dad Does A Lot Of Woodwork Though I Would Like To Get Him To Make Me One. He Mostly Uses A Lathe Now Though He Loves To Turn Bowls And Things Like That I Just Cant Get Into It. But I Work In The Coal Mines And A Lot Of Hours So What Time I Do Have I Spend With My Kids And Daisy I Dont Think I Could Do Something Like That Anyway. Nice Work.

Tim, that is gorgeous! How long does it take to make something like that. It looks like a lot of detailed work.

Wow that's just awesome! You sure are very talented with the nam epuzzle and this that I have seen. That's just great. You could definitely sell those if you ever decided to stop doing flooring!

I design most of my own patterns as pets differ as much as people do. I can do generic patterns but most pets have their own 'special' traits. As far as having my own store, I can't justify the cost of business overhead with the potential income. Most items made I usually break out even or less. After pattern design (unless can be used down the road), wood cost, blades, machine maintenence, ect. Then if you add a store at $2500 - $5000 plus utilities. I have enough overhead with my hardwood flooring and e-commerce businesses (sometimes over $40,000 a month).
I also do portraits, people and pets, make Chrismas ornaments, puzzles. I have alot of fun on the scroll saw when I can make the time. Thanks for all the comments and support.
