Tracy,
we need an update on the babies and of course lots of pics to go with the updates!!!! Those two white boys remind me so much of my Caspurr and Purrl(which reminds me I need to take some pics of). Plus I want to see pics of the extra you saved. It killed me to know that if you hadn't been there to save them they wouldn't be here today. When you told me that you actually saw the syringes with the meds in to kill them laying on the table when you went to pick up the original 3 of them. How anyone with any compassion could have left the others to die is beyond me. I am sure everyone here would have done the same thing as you did. Can't wait to see the pics and here how the babies are doing!

Okay, Okay, sorry I haven't updated you guys...bad Tracy!

Well, they are slowly getting better. The kits with ringworm, well, it is just not getting any better. I can not let them have surgery until they are healed. The vet said it is too contagious to have them in there while they have open spores. So, we are at a hiatus with those three. Icess is sneezing now. He was fine for the last week....even today, but just about an hour ago, he started having sneezing fits! He has a very bad eye infection. Icess keeps rubbing his nose and eyes with his paws, and his dew-claw has rubbed his nose raw. He has no hair on it! Silly boy!

Lucifer....who was named Prince Charming...is the only (knock on wood) kit that has not gotten anything! He is so friendly...but plays very rough...hence his new name. I am trying to get Dave, my fiance, to let me keep Luce...I am in love. But ever since we lost the babies, especially Sunshine, Dave is kinda set on just keeping our four.

The other kits are still coughing real bad. They all have eye infections....every kitten except Lucifer. Oh, boy, oh, boy. Well, next Sunday Lucifer, Icess, Honey (my girl), and two other rescues (Jackson and Simon) are going in for shots, surgery, and tests. I was going to take Sampson and Lola, but those are two with ringworm. So I am taking the others. The place I am going to has more appts available in early October. Which is fine with me, it gives me more time to save. Plus, eventually all 18 cats/kittens we have here will be altered, vaccinated, and tested...all by Thanksgiving. That is our goal....yippy!

Well, here are the pics....sorry for the long reply.

Baby Tigger...he is so hyper and playfull...even with yucky eyes!
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n194/Reachoutrescue/100_4257.jpg

Momma Grace....Tigger's mom. She has a very bery bad URI. Other then that and being a little skinny...she is great....a big attention hog though...loves people.

Oreo...I took like ten pictures and she blinked everytime! She has a bad eye infection and I think she is developing ringworms....I gave her a medicated bath and put cream just to be safe.
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n194/Reachoutrescue/100_4291.jpg

Violet...still coughing....but very playfull!
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n194/Reachoutrescue/100_4271.jpg

Shadow...he has a bad eye infection and a very bad URI...still very hyper though!
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n194/Reachoutrescue/100_4252.jpg

Shade, Shadow's evil twin! She is so so hyper!! She also has a severe eye infection and a pretty horrible URI.

Don't go anywhere.....I posted the rest right below!!

Lola. She is very sick. She has a very bad URI, ringworm, and a terrible eye infection. She is probably one of our sickest out of the dozen. She is very timid as well. I have yet to hear her purr. Poor Lola. I think her the back of her ears are never going to grow hair back...the ringworm did a number on her.
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n194/Reachoutrescue/100_4241.jpg

Sampson...this is Lola's brother. He has ringworm...but his face seems to be getting better it is just bad on his paws. He has a minor eye infection and a small cough. He, just like the rest, are on Doxycyline for the URIs. Sampson is a lover, he purrs all the time!
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n194/Reachoutrescue/100_4239.jpg

Luna. She is Sampson and Lola's sis. She has the worst case of ringworm. It is all over her head, nose, face, and feet. She actually has patches of hair that I think may not grow back. Other then that and a minor eye infection, she is the sweetest thing in the world.

This is my baby! I am so in love with him! Isn't Lucifer, or as I call him, Luce, adorable!
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n194/Reachoutrescue/100_4302.jpg

Okay, I know Icess looks bad, but it is only because he is a white cat. See his widdle nose? It is bald! Poor Icess! His eye infection is very, very bad. Other then that and a little sneezing....oh yeah and him not being able to hear me....he is just an ordinary kitten! He has plenty of time to heal...they all do. I am not rushing anybody out the door!

Thanks for looking and checking in on our Lil' Dirty Dozen. For those that are counting...yes there are only 11....Storm was adopted a few days after the rescue mission. I am going to see her this week and I will get pictures for you guys. I am also taking her to get spayed for her new meowmie...but they are paying for that!! Have a nice weekend everybody!

I know I said "no more kittens" atleast not to keep *foster then yes* BUT he is exactly what I wanted when I got Billy (my other orangie) and he is short haired with white. I wanted a long haired rusty orange kit. If you lived ANYWHERE near here, than I would in a heartbeat. *Melissa is gonna KILL me for saying that* I want Tigger:(

If you can drive to middle TN, I have a medium haired orange female kitten who needs a good (PT) home! ;)

I hope Katie is serious about Tigger too, it would really boost your morale, Tracy, to have another adoption in the making at this point. Tigger's fur is a gorgeous rich red, and he looks as though he is ready to spring into whirlwind action at any second.

Reading through your post made me rather shame-faced about my misery over Cattulus' brother showing ringworm on his head today for the first time. Well, I didn't see it, I felt it and have just shampooed him. Each time another gets it, it makes the isolation that much longer and continues the risk of re-infection. Your kittens must be going stir-crazy since I know what my three are like and they have a bedroom and bathroom to themselves. Your ringworm kittens are in isolation in a bathroom? How are you managing to isolate those with colds and those with ringworm, or did you just give up - you would, after all, need a very large house to do isolation for each sickness and non-sickness.

Lizzie,

I spoke with Katie yesterday....we are working on it! Yippy! He is a little devil...so hyper, but oh, so cute!

As for my ringworm and URI kits....they all had URI's so they are still ALL being treated for URI. They are in the same room, but different cages...that is all I can do. The room is big and I let them run around in it for about an hour three times a day. The only one's that are not allowed out are the ringworm kits...if they rub on anything, the fungis is then spread. I hold them and pet them a few times a day...but as soon as they see me grab the cream, they cower in the corner. They are smart! So far the cage seperation is doing well....knock on wood!

First of all Katie,"I am done with kittens, I am never going to get another one" does this sound familar??????? HUMMMMMM????

Tracy this are all so adorable and I feel so bad for all of them because they all look so sick and like they don't feel good, especially little Lola. And poor Iccess, he looks miserable too. I love little Oreo, I think after the two white ones she is is my favorite. Can't wait to see more pics of them when they are feeling better.

I have so tresaderm( for ear mites) that I am going to send you along with the ear wash.

I'm sorry to see them looking so sickly.:( I hope that they all recover quickly so that they can find their new loving forever homes.:) That's wonderful that Katie will possibly be adopting Tigger. He sure is a goregous orange/red color.:)

My Starr also had a bad case of ringworm shortly after I adopted him but he was confined in a small cage so luckily it didn't spread to my other cats. His foster mom took him back to treat him because she also had several other ringworm kittens. Even though he had been in a different room, he still caught it so hopefully the other kittens won't break out with it. It just takes time, patience, and lots of cleaning for them to recover from it. Good luck.:)
