Gas prices going DOWN?

Is the price of gas going down in your area? I got gas today and the price was $2.54! I'm wondering if it's just in the Pittsburgh area or all over.

It is going down arounf here as well. It is weird though as it varies a lot, it is between $2.73-$3.09 for regular unleaded. (good thing the gas station near me is only $2.76 if you pay by cash, that's where I go).

Yup! It was heading up towards $1.20/litre for a while but now it's down to $1.04! I even managed to get gas at .99c/litre last week! :D

We filled up this morning. In Toronto we were able to get it at 79c/litre! Woohoo! :D

The cheapest in CT is $2.79/gal. I filled up!!

I filled up today for $2.39! Woohoo! It seems to range from $2.59 to $2.39 in this area. I actually saw one place today at $2.69, but it was a full service place! I didn't even think those existed anymore!

Yep, summer is over. So prices will go down a little. Until the holidays, or next peak travel time, then they will go up again.

I *heard* that it's $2.42 here! I wouldn't know...since I don't have a car up here I lost all interest in how much gas is :D But yep, it'll go down just to tease everybody and it'll jump right back up there in time for the holidays!

On the way to Atlanta, August 31st, we got gas in Ohio for $2.32!!!

It's about $2.44 locally today. It's totally going down! Wooohooo!

Heh, yep. In Oregon, you're not allowed to pump your own gas.

I hear it is that way in New Jersey also. My ex- SIL moved to Indiana from NJ and we had to teach her how to pump her own gas!

It is sad that there are so few full serve here/. I work with seniors, and many ladies (widows) have no idea how to fill their own tank, so they stop driving. AND to make it worse, the few stations that ARE full service increase their prices considerably, making it hard to afford on a fixed income. :(

It is sad that there are so few full serve here/. I work with seniors, and many ladies (widows) have no idea how to fill their own tank, so they stop driving. Thats so funny! When Alden and I traveled to New Hampshire and Mass. last year we were so shocked to have someone pump our gas for us..lol. It was very strange. The first time it happened was so crazy! This not so nice looking man came walking over to our car and he made me very nervous...lol...we were wondering what the heck he wanted at first...LOL. The second time was a cute little girl and again it took us a second to realize she was there to pump our gas. It was just too funny! Then of course we were wondering if we were suppose to tip them. Are you? There are no full service stations around here or in any surrounding areas that I know of. I have been pumping my own gas ever since I started driving. :p
