I just saw your sig. Molly looks so much like my Sara. It is amazing. This is sara about 1.5 months ago. Her ears are both up now. Sara is supposed to be a collie/english shepherd cross. But everyone believes she is border collie. I just wanted to let you know you got a gorgeous pup!

They do look a like! They could pass for siblings!

Sara is definitely purebred Border Collie (Or at least 75%, and 15% Collie)! Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise!

I'd enjoy seeing more pictures of Sara in the future! :)

She is very cute! I see ES and BC in her. She looks similar to purebred ES I have met. How old is she and how big is she? ES are in the 40s-50s lbs range, while BCs are from 30s-45 lbs range
Here is another look alike. Andy who was at a bc rescue with his brothers and sisters, listed as bc mix

I think they are referring to English Sheperd . :confused: :D

BC =Border Collie

ES = English Sheperd

She is about 6 months old now and I am guessing weighs about 30-35 lbs. I will find out tomorrow as she is getting spayed in the morning. Our other mix pup weighs 25 lbs and she is a good bit bigger then he is. I did not see her parents. But her past owner said that the collie/ES was her parentage. It could have easily been a guess at whatever it was he owned. All I know is that she is EXTREMELY intelligent. I think she even has our past GSD beat in that department. She is not overly energetic like I have often seen in the BC. But she can pay some serious attention to anything she sets her mind on. She also likes to herd us, but nipping at the children's bottoms or the back of my legs. She has done many sits and downs to stop that little habit ;) She is something special!

ES is English Shepherd. They are similar to a border collie. They are herding dogs and herd in an upright loose eyed manner. ES are very intelligent and have a good on off switch, but they are high energy. They are very loyal.

I can't find a similar picture on the web, but the dog i saw looked similar to the OP's dog, except it had floppy ears. I say the OP's dog is Border Collie with English Shepherd or somthing else in there.

Thanks for posting the ES link. Beautiful dogs! I think it's funny, though, the link header reads..."The English Shepherd....An American Breed"
Shouldn't they be "American Shepherds"? :o
