I was playing around on the internet one day and I looked up pet name meanings for Duncan and Jack....
To my surprise Duncan, celtic origin, means dark one or dark warrior. And of course, he's a mostly black dog!! I didn't know that it meant that when I named him. I just thought is sounded Scottish and the SPCA thought he was part Gordon Setter....
And Jack mean's God's gracious gift, which fits him perfectly!!!! So I looked up some other Pet Talkers dog's names and their meanings....
If I forgot someone I apologize, I just made a list off the top of my head. Forgive me, I'm at work too and that just sucks the life right out of me!!!

Drake: Origin: Latin Dragon (or duck but, although funny that doesn't fit!! ;) )
Honey: Origin: English Sweet (or Cockroach in African!!! :p ;) )
Lily: Origin: Greek A Blue-Colored Flower (Well that's a surprise!!)
Cody: Origin: Anglo-Saxon Cushion :p
Star didn't come up....:(
Rufus: Origin: Latin Red-haired (???)
Josie didn't come up either :(
Dixie- didn't come up...
Dusty: Origin: Teutonic Valiant
Kia: didn't come up....
Dakota: again, didn't come up
Cincy: no hit...
Sadie: nothing
Geez, some of these should be there!!!! Anyway, I just looked under Google.com for pet name meanings and picked a site. It's pretty cool!!! You guys should take a gander and see if any of your names come up and are fitting!! Just for a little fun on this Wednesday afternoon!! :D :p ;) :)

Jenni, I never knew Drake meant Dragon in Latin. I knew about the duck all along! :D :D :D
Drake was named after Sir Francis Drake, a great explorer.
