Took this photo a couple of weeks ago, now I've edited the color of the water and the stones as they were sort of reddish in the original...

Thought I'd share this one, I think the duck has a cute face. :)

Great picture, Kirsten. It makes me feel like I'm there. We've get pet ducks, also, but none so beautiful as the Mallard. We've got 6 white and 1 black. I think the little black duck must feel like the Ugly Duckling, poor kid. I like her best of all, anyway. Rambling here, so er...yeah. :o

That is a real nice photo Kirsten. The color of the ducks beak is striking!! I can imagine how very soft his feathers would feel!!!! :eek:

Fantastic Picture!!! I just love Ducks, and recently became a mom to 6 beautiful ducklings! I have 1 white crested duck, and 5 Cayuga ducks! They are awsome!

So you think it's a young duck? I had no idea!! Maybe this is why the beak is so yellow?

Thats looks like a young male mallord. If his beak is yellow and he is a mallord, he's a boy. Looks like my two male mallord. What a hansome dude!

Hello I'm new to this site, but was wondering if anyone knows of sites where I can find information on caring for ducks and geese. Things like building them a good house for the winter. I live in spain and we have one goose, two white ducks and four chickens. They have a wooden house at the moment but they wont go in it since the really hot summer. They live in a large enclosure so all have pleny room, but I would love to get some better ideas on how to care for them properly.
