She is not sure of herself enough to make the jump from the floor to the counter so she takes the easiest way she knows how.....I'm so thankful that when I designed the kitchen it became Gracie accessible. ;)

Amy has proven to me over and over that to cats, there are NO handicaps or disabilities! I see Gracie has the same attitude! Isn't it amazing what they can do!!!

Edwina, who has rather short legs....could never get on the counters in Chicago....and hated being placed on them!

Here we have a breakfast bar...with stools.

Perfect! :D :D

She and Gracie went to the same cat school.... ;) ;)

Gracie you are so adorable and such a smart kitty also. Nothing will stop you from getting to where you want to go, will it sweetie. :)

At times I think many of us don't realize how intelligent our kitty companions really are. I love how they not only figure out how to get what they want but the thought process that goes along with it. Whoever it was that first referred to "dumb animals" obviously never had a cat!

Very sweet! Miss Flutter would appreciate the ladder system as well, though she continually amazes me.
