How many people here have vanity license plates? I was reading jenlucknbach's thread and that prompted this one. I don't have one, but I like the number they gave me. It's an easy number to remember!

No, I don't. I have often thought about it, but #1 the extra cost. :p and #2 it is too easy for other people to remember it and for some reason this bothers me...that other people might get angry at you and remember your lisence number. :o

I'd like to get one, but I think they're a rip off. I'm a perfect driver ( :p ;) ) so I don't care who knows my plate number.

I have never felt the need to have a vanity license plate, but the next time I renew I want to get the *Animal Friendly* design. :)

Check this older thread for a discussion of the topic. :)

No, I don't have a vanity license plate. I plan on getting this (http://www.floridaanimalfriend.com/) spay and neuter license plate when I have to renew mine.

Nope. I always thought they were a complete waste of money. Sis' plate is LASHES. She (of course) meant eyelashes. You'd be surprised (or maybe not) at the number of people who approach her and ask her if she is into S&M (whips and chains). Insert puking icon here.

No, I don't have a vanity plate. Never saw the need for one, but I think
I'd love to have a "statement plate" like the spay/Neuter plate to get people
thinking or talking about the issue.

I'd like oe but we have so many plates alone to choose from. If you have a non profit org. you can get plates mate up and people buying them then a donation goes to your group. Last count we have 75 choices.

I don't have a vanity plate but I have often wanted to get one that says:

b/c I am an xray tech and I -x-rayed- you. ;)
Davidp please be careful putting your license plate number here - anyone can do anything with it.
not that any pettalker would but this is a public forum

I agree, I might edit that out if I were you David ;) Never know who's lurking on these boards.

Consider it edited! I forgot that anyone can get access to me through my number. Pennsylvania has a special Pittsburgh Zoo license plate I might consider. It's dark green with a beautiful graphic of a tiger on it. It's fancy!

I don't have one with a special saying, but I do have the "No More Homeless Pets" one (NMHP is a Utah program with the goal of...you got it, ;) no more homeless pets). Most of the money it costs every year to have it ($25) goes to their organization so I'm happy to pay the extra for it. It has a little picture of a cat and dog on the side. See it here. I have DEPLOSS in my special "Caring for Pets" CT plate, which I will be renewing in February once my MI registration expires.

We had them in Illinois because they were free, no extra cost. Now I'm back in OH, I have just a reg. one...but the letters are DVH.. I think of it as a vanity plate:
