Ya even those beautiful red tail hawks get hungry. Luckily you got your pom in before they got him. I remember as a small boy hawks would get our barn kittens once in a while. Terrible site to see. I guess they cant tell the difference between pet and wild.

You now know that, unless you enclose the yard, including from above, he cannot be let outside unattended, right?

A hawk took off with my friend's chihuahua when she was a puppy. Luckily he dropped her before she was too hurt.

Small dogs need to be watched so carefully. A client of our's had her pomeranian carried off by a coyote last week.

I'm glad you got him in to safety. My friends grandmothers toy poodle was snatched by a hawk and her grandmother was right there even.

I watch the skies pretty good when i got my toy poodle out. He is white and shows up pretty good in the green weeds and grass. There are many big birds around here.
dont forget at night.........the owls are out hunting.

Wow - I never knew hawks could carry off little dogs. I've heard of coyotes getting them. Glad your little one is safe!
