http://www.cnn.com/ has a video of a front-walking kitty right now; I'm not sure if the kitty's paralyzed or bipod since CNN isn't wanting to talk video to my computer, but y'all might like it. Video title: Crazy cat walk.

Her name is Lola, and she's at the Maxfund shelter here in Denver. She's about seven weeks old. Her hind legs are deformed, so the little cutie has figured out how to walk on her front legs. Here's more of her story: Kitten has a walk that's all her own. thanks for the info. Kt Luvs kitties called me wanting me to look it up online, she jsut saw it on the news. She wantys to adopt her. We finally found the place but they said they are going to do an essay contest to pick who gets to adopt her. It will be on their website in a couple of days. There were so many people who called about her.

That does show that when theres a will, theres a way.
Thats one brave little Kitten, and the Pet Angels have assigned a few of our Mentor Angels to watch over her.

I am just DYING to get her. I want her so badly. I have wanted a special needs for some time now, and she just is so precious! I will be writing an essay in hopes of "winning" her. I hope they pick me, but I doubt they will. I also feel VERY guilty about knowing she has so many others that want her. And many dont get that chance:(
So although I will be TRYING MY BEST to get Miss Lola, I will also be looking for other special needs that dont have as much tv media following them around:D
*keep your fingers crossed* Thanks, Katie

Guess I better start my essay!

What a wonderful wonderful little girl, it just shows that animals can have such courage, the same as humans. Anybody who says animals are not as important as humans should watch this video, maybe then they will see they are, and that they can do amazing feats too, and have an amazing will to survive and adapt.

The Found Cats, Porch Cats and Angels are praying that Lola will be your Furr Ever Cat, and that you will be so Happy with her, and she with You.

Unfortunately a lot of those people who "want" her, just want a show piece! :( I hope someone who will really love her and take care of her will "win" her!

Oh Kim, I couldn't agree with you more, as I was thinking the same thing. I'm sure though they will be very picky on who they decide will adopt her.

She is such a darling. :)

Maxfund is an excellent organization--they run a no-kill shelter that takes in and treats sick and injured animals. I'm sure they'll be very particular about choosing Lola's furever home. And I do hope that the interest in Lola will carry over so that some of their other cats will be adopted!

Maxfund has updated its website (here) (http://www.maxfund.org/index.htm) concerning Lola's adoption. Unfortunately, they won't allow anyone outside Colorado to adopt her. :(
