Don Juan's mom

Some of you might remember my thread about Noodles, the orange kitty next door:

Since he was, ahem, "re-educated," he has been an inside kitty. I sometimes see him at the window or screen door.
Today, I let Don Juan and Zerlina out in the yard to check for terrorists disguised as sparrows. :D Don Juan was reclining inside the door, and Zerlina was bird-watching. I worked at the computer, checking on her every few minutes. Then, I heard a fast leaf rustle, followed by Dog Next Door barking emphatically! And I didn't see Zerlina in the yard!  Thinking that she'd gone over the fence, I got my stepstool and looked over the fence.
There was Zerlina, still on the right side of the fence (whew!) and up in a tree. Noodles was sitting inside the screen door, and they were gazing at each other.
Could it be love?
