Today I found a baby sparrow that has fallen out of the nest it was very high but seemed the parents had no intrest In it even if they did a cat for shur would have gotten it [Since it was right near a house of 3 cats].

So heres the pics.

I hope this little guy/girl shall do ok from that big fall.

Your bird rescues simply amaze me!!!!

That little sparrow doesn't look like he has been injured from the fall, so, maybe he will make a great story here on Pet Talk, like that baby squirrel in Dog General!!!!

Are there a lot of trees in your area? or, Do birds know that you care about them so much??

Those pictures you posted are great to look at!!!!

Keep me up dated on this little " Fall Guy!"

Usually if you pick the bird up and put it in a little plastic strawberry basket and rip grass out and put in the basket....and then place the new nest into a tree.......the mother will come for it!

Good luck.........
Hard to let them go......I raised a baby Robin years ago......

if you ever get a Starling & are unable to house it (if you can't set him free), let me know. I've been dying to get another!

You can call a wildlife centre and ask them for a free one.

There realy cool and can be taught to speak.

I have had some but for some reason there hard to look after when there babies I dont know why.

Go to Starlingtalk.com and join the message board and they shall tell you where to buy or get one for free. :)

Awesome!
I didn't have a hard time caring for Peetree. He was all naked when my friend took him from his cats jaws! He knew I'd be able to save it & to my house begging for help.. I fed it wet cat food & scrambled egg (done in the microwave, no butter or oils). That all I fed it. He grew up & was the craziest thing. I just LOVED him so much!! I didn't know they could talk!! Guess Peetree was too young (my dog scared him & he flew into the street & was hit by a car.. was trying to teach him how to fly)
