Pepper loves to play fetch after her ball or leaves or twigs or her little mice.... she goes nutz! Yesterday she was having a hayday outside with her yellow tennis ball....

Anyone else's kitties play fetch?? Now if she'd just bring it back to me :D

Yes, Maxx fetches her mice and brings them back to me to throw for her. She will even catch a mouse with her paws if I throw it to her from across the room. Crazy kitty!:p

would run and get it for me. That is much easier, and gives her some much needed exercise.

Fur my exercise, I do stretches...

Oh, George da Orange, you are such a funny kitty. :D Tubby and Peanut do their stretches too, just like you, but they normally do it when I'm on the floor trying to do my exercises, and somehow they manage to end up right where I'm supposed to be moving.

Unfortunately neither Tubby nor Peanut play catch. One of the disadvantages of having "senior" cats.

he always brings it back to me when I throw it for him! :D

I enjoy playing fetch with my baby, Luna she will play for a long time! She brings whatever her current favorite fetch toy is (currently she's using a plastic jack toy for cats) It's wonderful entertainment for eveyone!!! I think it would be intersing to find out why some cats fetch while others won't! My last cat fetched and I never taught him to do so?? Maybe certain breeds are prone to this form of play??
I beleive Luna is part Norwiegn FOrest Cat, mookie my other fetching cat also had NF traits?? So who knows?? What does everyone else think???

Sandy, Mini fetches pipecleaners just like your kitty! He taught me how to throw them for him for hours on end!

Here is Jasmine after she stole a pipecleaner bug from Mini.

Little Maya loves to play fetch that mouse !!! Is her favorite game !
If only I could teach her now to bring it back to me , so I do not have to pick them up all the time !!! It is THE CAT who needs the exercise , not ME !!! :p ;) :p

Juni plays fetch with absolutely everything - her favorite is Doggy, I guess some of you met Juni's friend Doggy (go to http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/vcasian/vwp?.dir=/Pets&.src=ph&.dnm=The+Dog.jpg&.view=t&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/bc/vcasian/lst%3f%26.dir=/Pets%26.src=ph%26.view=t and http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/vcasian/vwp?.dir=/Pets&.src=ph&.dnm=The+other+ear.jpg&.view=t&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/bc/vcasian/lst%3f%26.dir=/Pets%26.src=ph%26.view=t and see him). The other ones are paper balls, green beans, peas, cabbage and salad leaves, old leaves from my plants (thanks God not normal leaves), needle pillow, pieces of fabrics, spools, chewed gum (she almost takes it from my mouth)... I could continue forever. Everything turns into a toy in her paws (or mouth). She decides what she'll play with, not you and if she brings it to you and you don't want to throw it for her, first she'll make a lot of noise, second she'll touch with her wet nose your toes, but if this won't help, then she will bite your ancles gently.
As you see, we don't have time here to get bored.

My goodness, Casper looks EXACTLY like my Hobbes! So cute!
Hobbes doesn't fetch my Jersey (RB) taught me kitties could fetch. He took a qtip out of the garbage (ewww!) and dropped it at my feet. I threw it away again and he brought it back! I got a new clean one and threw it and he brought it back!
Calvin is an expert fetcher but goes thru phases of what he'll catch. Mice, scrunched paper, qtips, bottle caps. Whatever his current choice, I'll toss it WAY above his head and he makes AMAZING leaps and turns and catches them most of the time:D
