I am really happy with it! I'm glad that you all convinced me to go with my gut on the RED, LOL . . . I just hope that hubby likes it as much! He's been gone today and doesn't really know what I've been doing to "his building". :)

LOL . . . I doubt I'd be that much help. I worked ALL DAY just painting the doors & shutters . . . . . . and my back is breaking!!! Okay, so I painted my house doors & shutters also . . . I guess it is a lot of work . . . I'd suggest having it done by professionals!!! :D I don't know why I don't take the same advice. Me and my mom are making plans to stain & seal our deck. (how does my hubby get out of all of this? - stinking grad school!) Anyway, I'm not looking forward to that but hopefully it can be done in a day.

The finished product really turned out nicely. The shutters are the touch that makes it all come together. Now rest up a bit before tackling that deck.

When we first moved to this house we didn't take very good care of our deck. We occasionally put one of those clear protective sealants on but not regularly. Our deck started to split and crack after about 10 years. We had to have someone turn over every single board on the deck over. Then we used an opaque stain and do it every year or every other year. It has made a big difference in how well the deck looks and is lasting. I only wish we would have done that early on.

Well, hubby actually likes it! I was surprised . . . didn't think he'd appreciate me making "his" building so PRETTY, lol . . . but it now matches the house, so I'm happy . . . and like HE says . . . if "Christa's not happy, nobody's happy!" I've taught him well!

I would just sit in the yard and look and look at it and admire my work! That is awesome now that it is finished and the shutters really do complete the whole picture.

Love it! Just the right shade of red. Now maybe a window box?
