I took some photos of the garden. The light here is so bright it is difficult to capture...

Your garden is beautiful! I love the Jacaranda tree - are the blooms bell shaped? It is just stunning.

Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful! It is rather chilly here today. I could cope with sitting in the sun under that magnificent tree. :D

WOW, that jacaranda tree is absolutely gorgeous!! I wish we could grow that in our garden too...... but I guess it needs hot Californean weather and absolutely no freezing (°C) at all....

What's this word that I hear you using? Beloved? Could it be that our very own Sara is ever so slowly becoming a Californian and maybe her heart is not in Chicago anymore? :p Seriously, your garden is beautiful. I imagine it must be a great place to go to go relax and enjoy the view and smells (do the blossoms on the jacaranda give off fragrance?) and just unwind. I am thinking that Shirley might have liked such a tree to climb while watching the E's from a safe distance. By the way, where were the E's?

Everything Sara has in her garden is beautiful! Jacaranda's are in full bloom all over the city. Sometimes when you make a turn onto a street and they are in full bloom - it simply takes your breath away they are so beautiful.

I am getting such a kick out of the garden hat.........it was brought down to California by Slick from Canada - (she made that hat!) - I am not sure, but I think Karen from Scotland and Randi from Copenhagen got to wear it.
Then we brought it down to Sara's and Barbara from Germany wore it. It truly is the Pet Talk International hat.

Pam....if I could just take the jacaranda with me :D :D ..... it has been too hot for the E's...they too are northerners and prefer the cool of the house! I can't seem to get them in the pool with me. :p

I don't think the blooms give off scent. There is scent around the area but I also have jasmine and allysium (I'm not spelling that right.... ) so I am not sure where it originates....

Just thinking- if jacarandas grew in more northern areas then the colour wouldn't be called lavender but jacaranda ;)
