Onthe 4th, we took the dogs up to Michigan to check out a dog park we heard about in Saline. It is only about 40 minutes from our house, and boy did the dogs love it!! We may have to see if some of out PT friends would want to check it out with us sometime!

Didn't take the girls long to figure out they could swim!

What a nice park! it looks like the wet & dry parts are fenced off seperately? lots of nice dogies to play with, too! That rottie/St. Bernard dude sure is handsome! Glad to see your three having so much fun. That park would be less than 2 hrs. away from here, maybe we could join you there sometime?

The whole dog park is one...maybe a little less then 1/2 the size of Findlay. It is fenced on 3 sides, with the river making the 4th side. The only problem is if the dogs go out into the water, they can get out on the other side of the fence. Cincy did once because there was a little girl she wanted to visit, but she jumped back in the water and swam back when she was called.

We would love to have others join us there sometime! I'm not sure it would be good for our big gatherings becuase the shelter is not real close to the dog area, it is more expensive to rent (~$85) and you do have to watch the dogs close if you have an escape artist...but that certainly doesn't mean we can't make trips there within anyone who is interested!! I bet there are some dock divers over Youngstown way that would love it!

From the about the middle of the fenced area, looking further into the park

A little closer look at the edge of the fence...it does extend out over the river, but can still be gotten out of

Really great pictures! The park looks very nice too. I wish there was a dog park with a decent amount of water around here. Our only option is the beach if we want a park for the dogs to swim.

Looks like everyone had a great time!

It looks like a great park & your gang sure loved it.Smokey & Maggie have
never been close to a big body of water before, so no telling what they'd
do. Maggie would for sure try to chase the ducks. :D

What a great day you all had! If it was as hot as it was here I know the pupsters were refreshed after their swim! :) This is my very favorite. :)

Great pictures of my grandogs, Amy! We might be able to go sometime but I am not sure Taggert would be a good bet. Even though he doesn't swim he would probably find a way to walk around that fence that sticks into the water! But Snoopy and Jack and maybe even Dazzi could go sometime. Although I don't think any of mine will go swimming.

Looks like a great time. :) I also like the picture that Pam reposted, Cincy's smile in that picture is just so cute. Those swans were very brave hanging around so close to all of the swimming dogs.

This is a DOG PARK? My God...it's beautiful! How come NH doesn't have a nice dog park like that? I think dog parks should be mandatory in every town in the country.

I think I will run for President and that will be my platform....dog parks in every town!!! Vote for me!!!

I am sooooooooooooo jealous (and Fenway is too).
