Job hunting...

I'm on the prowl for a job. :) I've got an interview at a really nice vet hopsital this Friday which I'm nervous about, mostly nervous because if they offer me the job that means I have to inform my boss and my vet, since I work for her on Saturdays. Eeeek! It will be a looong commute but Shannon said he will get a local job so he can let the dogs out to potty at lunch. :) I'll be driving an hour to work each day which, I don't guess is too bad. Well, that is if I take the job. I also applied to PetSmart but I bet they won't hire me because of the pay I asked for. It would be about a 45 minute drive to get there as well. Darn living in the country, I love it to death but it sure leaves you with lousy paying jobs that are withing 10-20 minutes away. :( I did apply for a manager type position at the local video store since a lady I used to work with, her hubby, asked me to apply. I'll be asking for more than what they probably want to pay as well though, but in the long run it would be the best job to take as it's only about 15 minutes max to that workplace and they have benefits. :)

Good luck! I've been looking for a job for quite some time now. I've got a few irons in the fire right now. A possible temp to perm Legal Assistant job among other things.

Good luck! I'm also on the prowl for a job. :) I have an interview tomorrow at a pet resort. Not sure if it's close enough, it's about 26 miles away. I'm hoping to find something within ten miles, but, if it's a good enough job, I will make the compromise. ;) Let us know how your interview goes!

I just got a call from my interview, telling me it is casual, I can wear jeans to the interview! yay! And, yeah, I'm never going to worry about a job paying enough, I had a good paying job once and was so unhappy at it, it affected everything! I'm just looking for something close that will make me happy. And, of course, good paying would be a perk. ;)

Thanks :D I'm actually debating whether to go or not, like you said, you don't really care about the pay as long as it's close and that's how I feel. I just feel like a job that far away will take all that extra pay just in gas to get there. :( Oh man I can never make up my mind.

You know why I ended up going? Just for the interview practice. That's the only reason I went ahead and went. And, I ended up getting and taking the job. Yeah, it's farther than what I want, but, I think it's going to be worth it because of how much I think I'll enjoy it. And, for me anyway, the shift is good, and, i won't have to worry about traffic. I'd go, just for the practice!
