Does anyone out there know the advantages of fixing your rabbit and not are? I am not sure whether I should do it or not, my bunny is getting a little aggresive. What should I do?

i am absolutely going to get mine fixed! she is so naughty. but she is very young, so i have to wait:( . Im not sure at what age tought, you would have to let Heather Wallace answer that, but i think its at the age of 6 months at least.

Females can develop cancer around 1 year old, and they usually dont last long(like only a year or two, maybe less) and are aggressive too. After the operation your rabbit will be much nicer and wont be so hyper.

let us know of your descision.

Yes as you said it would stop all the aggresiveness!

Also, females over 1 year old are at a higher risk of getting cancer is they are not spayed either.

And also of course it stops your bunnies from making more baby bunnies.

I have 2 boys and 2 girls. Bunny was spayed about 2 months ago and the boys where neutered only 2 days ago. I am glad I have done it.

Not only will spaying your girl reduce the aggressiveness and the cancer risk, it will also make her urine less strong, so if she lives in the house that's a real plus! Plus she'll just be so much more of a companion to you when the hormones aren't ruling her life. :)

i asked a rabbit expert not long ago about when to get them operated and she said: 5 months for males, and 6 months for females. Operations on 2-3 months old is riscy.

How old is your rabbit?

My little sweetie is 10 months. I think I will get the operation, first I have to see how much money I have left from babysitting.....hmm.

Is anyone out there a kid,(like me)

You ARE suppsosed to be 13, unless you have your parents' permission. Are they okay with you posting here? It is not just a policy of ours, but it is literally the LAW in the US, for your own protection.

I believe it would as you are posting on a site located in the U.S. :) Just get your parents permission - this is a nice family type site I think.:)
