I've had some people ask me how my renovations on my century old home are going. I have one word - SLOW! ;) So I'll eventually start a thread on my renovations in the near future....for now, this is the only picture I'll show.

Instead, look at my backyard and pretty flowers (much better than plaster dust and wall studs anyway). ;) :D

When we moved in the lawn was in need of repair, the garage needed to be replaced and a tree needed to be cut down. We still have to plant some perrenials/annuals but everything will get done in time.

We have a long backyard...I call it the bowling alley. Most properties are the average 50x120...we have 40 x 245.

Here is the new shed we built in the backyard. We still have to add trim and paint it.

The picture of the tree above is the one that needed to be cut down. Instead, a storm came and knocked it down for us. ;) We made this bench from another tree that was knocked down in the same storm.

We planted these trees this past spring to cover up the chain link fence. You can also see the allium plant in the background. I've never seen this plant before and it grows to over 4 feet in height. I call it my prehistoric plant.

Next post....the flowers....

WOW! Beautiful. We have Allium plants all over the place here in California. They grow like weeds!

WOW! I sure enjoyed these pictures and I LOVE that house! I love old places, I would rather see inside those than inside a new house.

I'm exactly the same and I can't imagine ever living in a new subdivision house. I think Rob and I will always live in a historical house or at least a historical neighbourhood.

Right now this house is not officially designated a historical home but I'm pretty sure our next house will be one. Once we finish all the renos we'll probably end up moving to another house and start the renos again. Rob loves his home projects.

Wow! With all the love, patience and hard work you put into your project, you will have an amazing and wonderful home. The gardens are so lush and well organized on your property. I can imagine how happy a certain little Blue girl is to play in her garden - perfect bliss!

Nakita absolutely....L*O*V*E*S the backyard. And I don't mind the backyard myself since it keeps me from the renovation horrors that await me when I step through the door. ;)

Please, please teach me! These are awesome!

Get yourself up here and I'll give you a basic lesson. ;) After that you're on your own since I'm still learning myself.

You rock! Thanks for the invite...I've got a list going of places I wanna visit. And, looks like your backyard has made it's way there! ;)
