Now Lily is also infected with the World Cup fever here in Germany, and she's showing her support for the German team.

Here she's playing with a German flag:

Some hours later, she was even wearing black-red-gold:

Hopefully she will keep her paws crossed for the semi-final on Tuesday! :)

Go football fan Lily!! The colours in your flag really bring out your eyes, you should wear that colour more often, it was made for tabbies!

What a pretty kitty! She could be a sister to my Don Juan. Does she watch the matches on TV with you? Does she try to help the German team by batting the opposing players? :D

The Found Cats sometimes will play with the TV , if hockey is on, as they love to chase the puck.
I will have to see if the Kitten Trio will take up soccer.

She did in the beginning, but walked away when I was screaming my lungs out during the quarter final! :o

Jen, if the meowning she does every night means she's actually singing, then I never recognized it as our national anthem! LOL :D

Oh Lily with you as their mascot, the team can't fail!

I figure we'll need all her support for the match against Italy!

Whew! When I saw the title to this thread I thought Lily was out roughing up the British hooligan cats. It's good to see she's a quiet suporter of her team!

LOL! :D Well, so far, she's well behaved and stayed away from trouble! :)

Hopefully everything will be quiet tomorrow as Luna has decided to support Italy. She has an Italian/Spanish name, you know? ;)

um, did you have a tiny munch on your bandana?

Actually, it was my sewing machine that did that! :o

Certainly do - but are all honorary French for this evening!!

I was hoping for a final Germany : England (what a classic that would have been!), but it was not meant to be.

Both France and Portugal would deserve to be in the final, so I'm not sure who to root for.

Well, that's the bad thing of such a tournament: of all great teams, there can only be one champion in the end.

I am also sorry for you! :( I expected that Germany would go for the final. They were so strong at home, supported by the whole country!

Let's see what France does this evening! I am not pretty confident that they win. The only thing I am sure of, is that it will be a big party in the streets whatever the winner! There is a very large portuguese community living in France, and they are very proud and happy to still be here! If France does not win (of course they have my preference ;) ) Portugal will celebrate then :)

Thanks! :) We are all really disappointed here.

It was the same here, I could hear the Italians celebrating downtown all night. Maybe the German fans were celebrating with them, I don't know...

I have absolutely no guess about tonight. Normally I would expect France to win, but Portugal was surprisingly strong so far. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Besides, I have a cousin living in France, and now that Germany is out, I know she will support them! :)
