Well, today I was at the stables for about 4 hours and I had loads of fun, especially since one of my friends (who also leases) was there. Normally I'm just getting there as she leaves, but today I went earlier. Turns out her horse (Kaleb) and my horse are friends! So we rode together for a long time. Garth was behaving so much better with another horse there. (Kaleb is really good and was acting perfect, so I'm just hoping Garth will follow his example ;) ) Garth was good for the most part, he just started bucking towards the end while I was cantering him.

Jody, Garth's owner, was at my lesson on Tuesday and told me I could ride Garth bareback sometime, so today my friend, Hannah, and I cooled Garth and Kaleb down by riding bareback. We went through where they take the kids for pony rides and on the path that goes around the stables. I haven't ridden bareback for years, so it was great finally being able to do it again. (except Garth has a very bony back, sitting the trot on it isn't the most comfortable :p  )

Sorry for writing so much, but I had lots of fun today and just wanted to share. I'll add the pictures below. They are from my first time jumping him and riding him in a lesson. We were just doing little jumps since I wanted to get used to him first.

He gets pretty bored with those little jumps

Hehe, in that one you can even see his 'freckles'. (Not really sure what else to call them! lol)

I still have to get pictures of his tricks. I meant to bring the camera today, but it was a hectic morning trying to get out of the house earlier.

Thanks! :D

The only thing that wasn't so good about yesterday is that he stepped on my toe. Now it's all black and purple and swelled up. Plus it hurts a lot! Hopefully it won't be so bad tomorrow or my mom said I couldn't ride. ( )

sounds good! Ew, I've never gotten a bruise from a horse stepping on me. I think those spots are either age spots or the *Might* be birdcatcher spots.
