Hi there! I just joined. I was wondering if anyone else had "theme songs" for thier dogs? You know, a song that seems to naturally play in your head when you see them? A song that epitomizes the way they move, and the things they do? Says what they would be saying if only we would listen?
Here are my broods theme songs:

1.) Korkie: 15 blind, deaf Yorkie/Poodle. Louis Armstrong's "Mack the Knife" She's got a real nice beat- until you piss her off.
2.) Maxx: 3 1/2 Shep/Ret. Tom Jones "What's New Pussycat" but it's "Whats Up StinkyButt" Anyone who can smile like a cherub and clear the room at the same time deserves this one.
3.) Jersey: 2 1/2 Dane. James Blunt "You're Beautiful" It took us a while to figure it out, but THIS is her song. Only change is that hers is sung "I'm beautiful, I'm beautiful, I'm Beautiful it's true..."
4.) Kiki: 2 and a bit cat (and a torti at that!) Bananarama "I'm Your Venus" A pure power song, full of fire and brimstone. Much like her personality.

I would have to say Sierra's would be Cheryl Crow's "I'm a B*tch" :o :p
Because..... well just because she is!! :D
I dont' know what Bud's would be... I'll have to think of a good one that fits him well.

Hehe i posted about this a couple of months back ;). Songs!! (http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=104550&highlight=songs+dogs)

I can add a few more to the list though. You've got a friend - James Taylor, Stand By Me - Ben E. King, Born To Be Wild - Steppenwolf (Definitely the BCs song).

The following is more for them from me.
Watch Over Me - Bernard Fanning

When trouble fills my world you bring me peace
You calm me down, you’re my relief
When walls come crashing down around my feet
You light my way, you’re my release

So say you’ll watch over me
When I’m in too deep
Tell me you’ll always be
There to pull me free

When the sun is beating down upon my brow
You are my shade, you cool me down
And every time I tried to turn away
You brought me around, in your humble way

So say you’ll watch over me
When I’m in too deep
Tell me you’ll always be
There to pull me free
There to rescue me

For every time you sheltered me from harm
You showed me truth, you kept me warm
And every time you left me on the street
I found my way, I found my feet

So say you’ll watch over me
When I’m in too deep
Tell me you’ll always be
There to pull me free
There to rescue me

There to pull me free
There to rescue me

Murph: On the Sunny Side of the Street... definitely fits his sunny personality and the version by Cyndi Lauper is the one and only song he's ever seemed interested in, so he sort of chose it for himself.

Oz: The Wonderful Wizard of Oz... He gets so excited when I sing this to him. He just loves the "Because, Because, Because" part of the song.

Gull: It should probably be Crazy... ;) But he's a nut for Brady Bunch tunes, so Keep On is his.

Don't laugh, but there is a song on the Brokeback Mountain CD that I just love and I sing it to Fenway in the car. If you ever get the chance to listen to it, it's just an easy song to sing and Fenway loves it (at least I think he does). :D

It's called, I Will Never Let You Go by Jackie Greene.

These are the lyrics:

When I feel that lonesome prairie wind
I let my soul get back to you again

And I will never let you, I will never let you,
I will never let you go

Even though this wasn't meant to be
It's gonna break my heart to watch you leave
But I will never let you, I will never let you,
I will never let you go

Why I'm feelin' so, so low
I will never let you, I will never let you,
I will never let you go

Why I'm feelin' so, so low,
I will never let you, I will never let you,
I will never let you go
Why I'm feelin' so, so low
I will never let you, I will never let you,
I will never let you go
I will never let you, I will never let you,
I will never let you go

For Frisk, it would be, "Catch the Wind" by Donovan. :D None of the other dogs have a song, though.

I chose a couple of Led Zeppelin songs for my boys as their full/registered names.. I think they're absolutely perfect for them.

Kaedyn: "Dazed and Confused". He's a sweet boy but sometimes he has his moments. I was really close to picking "Dream on" (Aerosmith) because of the snobby attitude he gives sometimes. :p

Kai: "Fool in the Rain". The song is really upbeat, and happy. And so is Kai. He always has that big ol' grin across his face and is a complete goof.

Mackenzie: Don't Stop Believin' by Journey. She always seems so optimistic despite her "handicap".
Muffin: Bad Day by Daniel Powter? I don't know. Muffin's kind of antisocial most of the time.
Zeus: Crazy by Gnarls Barkley. Self explanitory? Except I don't think Zeus would remember when he lost his mind. It must have happened early on. ;)

"Return To Innocence" by ENIGMA
http://longfellow.zoto.com/img/45/e7dc65e74362287d3f1241b7933662b4-.jpg

That's not the beginning of the end
That's the return to yourself
The return to innocence
Love - Devotion
Feeling - Emotion
Love - Devotion
Feeling - Emotion
Don't be afraid to be weak
Don't be too proud to be strong
Just look into your heart my friend
That will be the return to yourself
The return to innocence
If you want, then start to laugh
If you must, then start to cry
Be yourself don't hide
Just believe in destiny
Don't care what people say
Just follow your own way
Don't give up and use the chance
To return to innocence
That's not the beginning of the end
That's the return to yourself
The return to innocence
Don't care what people say
Follow just your own way Follow just your own way
Don't give up, don't give up
To return, to return to innocence.
If you want then laugh
If you must then cry
Be yourself don't hide
Just believe in destiny.
Layla's was Layla by whoever it's by. My parents gave it to her but I remember it by the choris of Mendocino County Line

LOVE IT! (being an old beatles fanatic)

I always sing "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison to Mz Logan. One look into her peepers with those eyelashes and you melt. The eyes are the mirror of the soul

Mickey: Hey Mickey by B*Witched
Molly: Good Golly Miss Molly by Creedence Clearwater Revival

My Mickey also gets sung "Hey Mickey" by about anyone who learns his name. I guess it is his theme song too. :) That one and "M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E".

We also tend to sing "Can't Touch This" by MC Hammmer, haha.
