Great! A horse-subject! :)

It's funny this, really! I just happened to look up a few names only the other day, just to see if there would be anything about the stars in some old books of mine. And there was! And I was wondering for a while why there never seemed to be much talk about horses on PT...

And then today when I have finally gotten my own computer back from the repairs and went to visit PT for the first time in - again - ages, what do I see? 1) that I'm already logged on and 2) the first subject that I notice is one about famous horses! Ha! I love you guys!

Here are a few famous trotters!

Hambletonian
Messenger
Greyhound

... I used to hang out in a racing stable on the local racecourse when I was a teenager... and as for Greyhound I have always been very fascinated by what seems to be a very rare occurrence of color in a trotter. In a trotter, which is actually any good, that is! ;)

Sus and Bella

Hey, what about Garth? He *is* famous in my book! ;)

I apologize if this has already been posted, but what about Barbaro?

Has anyone heard how he's doing? The last I heard is that he had his cast replaced on June 13 and it went well. (my date could be wrong, but I think thats what I heard)

Vela

Barbaro was already mentioned. He is doing okay. He may be getting another cast change soon. THe bones have started mending, the race is for the bones to mend before the hardware gives out.

Red Rum really was a great racehorse! :)

And please enlighten me, who is Barbaro, and what happened to him?

I don't know why it took me so long to think of this:

The "Horse of a different color" in The Emerald City!!!!!!!

Jello was used to change the color of the horse while filming each segment, and, they had an awful time keeping the horse from licking it during takes!!!
