Snowy's First Raw Chicken *2 pics*

Snowy's breeder has always fed his dogs (and puppies) raw, so Snowy had been eating raw meat the first two months of her life. This last two years however I had been feeding her premium kibble so eating raw meat again is like a new experience for Snowy.

she wasn't sure what it was.. she kept sniffing and licking and carried it around..

I cut the chicken into smaller pieces and put it again in her bowl so that she knows that it is food :D
she still wasn't sure though that I had to hand feed it to her

She seems to enjoy it better now and I'm pleased to say that her stomach adjusts very well to the new diet, she didn't get ill/diarrhoea.

Hehe, that is what Ginger would do too. Just carry it around with no clue how to actually eat it. :) Oooh, Snowy that looks good. I think you will get the hang of it in no time sweetie.

My 3 like to carry it around too and find a place in the yard to eat it. Snowy, it's really good pretty girl, just relax and enjoy your chicken. :)

I've got some tips from Sarah so hopefully Snowy will eat the meat on her own soon.

Yes, my three just didn't know what to do with their first piece of raw meat either. Just kinda walked around like "Now what am I supposed to do with this?" Needless to say they figured it out :D
Glad Snowy is adjusting well to raw.
