It's official. Shadow and Whisper are old fogies. ;) Today is the big 8!! I remember the day they were born. My SIL called me to tell me her cat had 6 babies but appeared to be having some issues with a last. We took Mischa, the mommy cat, to the vet and she had a stuck baby. Unfortunately, the baby did not make it but we had 4 beautiful gray kitties (3 girls, 1 boy Whispy), a blackie (Shadow), and a brown little boy.
I got to kitten sit often and grew quite fond of little Shadow. She was the runt of the litter, which is amazing as she is now the biggest kitty in the house. We had to bottle feed her at times and she was so sweet. I went off to college and my SIL's mother adopted Shadow and Whisper.
Fortunately for me, the mom could not keep them when they moved and I got them when they were about a year and a couple months old as a birthday present. Three weeks later, roomie told me she was allergic and cats went to live with my parents. In May, roomie moved out and cats moved in. :)
For the past six years, these kitties have made my house a home. I love my nawtee boy and good girl! I could not imagine life without them and am so grateful I get the pleasure of being owned by them. Happy Birthday, my sweet Shadow and beautiful Whispy!!
