Thursday, June 22, marks 3 years since His Goofiness, Chase, joined the pack.
Watching him run and play tonight, it's hard to believe that it took three of us to drag him out of the shelter and get him into my truck. No way was he leaving the shelter, he knew it wasn't his turn to go for a walk. Chase came in as a four month old puppy and left at close to two years old! The shelter was the only safe place he'd ever known.

Then seconds after I snapped this, he crashed into a tree and reminded me that he truly is still my big doofus!

Growing up in a shelter does funny things to a dog's head. We like to say that Chase has a few loose wires upstairs, but he just wouldn't be Chase any other way!

He is a big joyful sweetie. Full of life and always good for a giggle or a snuggle. He's very polite and always crossed his paws when he lays down!

He is the best thing that ever happened to Goldie. She adores him. He is the only dog who is allowed to live her pen full-time. Goldie was a lonely dog before Chase came along.. They are only apart when Chase is in harness(Goldie has health issues that forced her early retirement). When he's done working, he wants to go straight back to check on his girlfriend. They are a "mutt and Jeff" couple, but Chase always runs back to check on her or waits for her short little legs to catch up. They are adorable together and a true canine love story.

Enjoying a rawhide treat.

Happy Gotcha Day, sweetpea!
