One thing that drives my husband Eric crazy is that I trim my split ends when I'm bored. I know the job is endless, but it's relaxing somehow! Weird, I know. Do you have any weird habits? :p

when i'm in a bad mood i always listen to Best of both worlds and alife is a highway and just act like i'm playing the guitar or something and embarrase my friends its just a habit with any song mostly.

I don't think it's weird, but a co-worker of mine teases me about it all the time.

I wash my hands before and after using the restroom.

I work with a lot of money, raw meat, and other foods at my job and I'd feel disgusting if I did wash before, and especially after.

I probably use the most paper towels out of everyone but hey.. Atleast I'm clean!!

I also crack my knees a lot, I have some sort of knee condition too but I can't remember the name.

And I crack my toes and knuckles only because it feels better afterwards.

I crack my neck a lot because of pain and stiffness, I have pinched nerves and need my back checked by a chiropractor but my mom has yet to take me.

I crack my toes a lot out of habit, I used to do it when I was little because I couldn't crack my nuckles :p

I only crack my nuckles when they hurt but I do make the motion of cracking my nuckles a lot..

I also like to fold my lip and kind of hold it between my teeth a lot.

My legs are always moving, so I have to put my feet completely on the floor, not just the toes... or...... there they start moving up and down again!! I don't care, but my hubby hates it!
I also have restless legs in bed. I cannot help it, and the more I try to calm down, the worse it gets!! Sometimes it is so bad that I have to move to the spare room...... :o :(
I used to have lots of "ticks" as a kid, like rolling my eyes, shaking my head,and many more. But that is over now :)

Weird habits? My life is a weird habit...as I like to do all my 'things' in order. I have trouble going to bed if the house isn't picked up, I have to make my bed in the morning (Jonah's, too!), no dishes in the sink overnight....Stuff goes in the place that it goes, not where someone else puts it...I am very orderly. He he he...some might call it something else, though. LOL.

When I pump gas, the last number has to be a 0 or a 5. If the pump stops pumping at $32.28, I have to round it up to $32.55 or $33.00, any number is fine so long as the very last digit is a 0 or 5.

My paper money also has to be facing all the same way with the larger denominations in the back.

OK it seems like a lot of us are anal so I will admit to being so also. :) All of the clothes in my closet have to be hanging in the same direction (open or buttoned side to the right). I also sort of line up my sweaters/tops by color. :rolleyes: :o

I have a front door problem aswell, and generally recheck it a couple of times. The back door is fine because the dogs are in the back end of the house so i know no one is going to get in. I also have to recheck everything electrical before going to bed and turn off everything that is not needed.

Someone else has to pump the gas to 5 or 0, I have to level off the sound on movies to an even number although in general I don't have a "thing" about any particular number. I actually feel uncomfortable if it's at an odd number.

Although I never double check the doors when I leave, I triple check the front door when I go to bed and only then can I lie down in comfort. I never check through the house when I get home or before I go to bed as I did when I had only one cat because I figure one of my social ferals would indicate if there was something "alien" in the house.

In our staff kitchen at work, I put water in the kettle and pour it out before filling it fresh for my own cup of tea because I hate re-boiled water. The people who simply check that there is water in the kettle and then switch it back on, or use the hot water tap to fill the kettle give me the shudders.

I also have my clothes hanging by colour and type, and facing the same way, but I think of that as good organization. If I want a sleeveless black top, for instanceI, know it's at the front of the row of black tops and I don't have to search through a rack of clothes for one.

Oh good! More people who like the toilet roll with the edge facing them. I don't change it in other places but I do swear at the roll as I fumble to find the edge.

Edited to add that I would run a mile from all you cracking people. When people crack their joints, I feel nauseated and go weak at the knees.

1. My bed has to be made every day
2. When I cook, I have to clean up as I go along
3. The kitchen has to be cleaned before I go to bed...however yucky dishes soaking overnight is OK.
4. I must park straight. Even if it takes an extra few minutes, my car has to be centered in the parking stall.
5. When I brush my teeth, I must go from right to left. Left to right doesn't work.
6. I cannot jump into the shower right after getting out of bed. I have to be up for at least an hour before showering otherwise it just doesn't feel right.
7. Just like SP, the gas pump must end in 0 or 5.
8. Just like others, the toilet roll must roll towards me.

I'm sure there are others but that will do for now.

I can not stand when different food touches on my plate. There must be a gap between all food items! My Mom tells me that I have been like that since I started to feed myself! My husband thinks it's the most bizzare thing he's ever seen. He just heaps everything into a big pile on his plate. Makes me nauseaus!

I do head counts on the critters at least twice day, especially the cats. Since Dominique's death, I'm petrified that one of them will get outside without me noticing.

This is probably a very weird habbit...it usualy starts with folding...

When ever I have somthing In my hand and I forget about it or dont notice Ill start tearing up the thing thats in my hand and my friends get annoyed because I have ripped up money a few timed broke some pencils,Bus tickets,Jewlery ect.. so It can be a bad habbit but I just can't help it I have to rip or break it up if I dont notice it lol.

Also I just can't help it when I see a bird in need so I bring it home or phone wild life centre and my parents just agree with it because I do it so many times even if they say no.

One more is when Im mad I give ppl this bad look and my mom gets So angry at me because she says I look freaky but Im so used to this look that I just do it in the middle of no reason lol.

Hmm, I don't have too many "weird" habits, but one is when I'm drinking something with a label, Gatorade, beer (especially beer), pop, etc I ALWAYS rip the label off. :rolleyes:

When I wake up I sometimes stretch like a dog. Like when they put their butt up in the air. lol I'm weird.

I also don't like any of my food to get mixed up on my plate. I refuse to eat it if it is mixed up some other food.

I don't like it when someone messes up my bed. Even if the comforter is slightly tilted or something, I have to straiten it.

I always pop my fingers and knuckles. I do it many times a day. It just feels good to do it, I'm not sure why though.

I also don't know how to bite my nails. I have never bitten my nails, so I have to continuously be cutting them.

Well, I bite my nails. I eat my food one thing at a time. I wont dip my roll in mashed potatoes or something, it all has to be eaten SEPARATELY! I pop my knuckles occasionally, and especially my knee. I also enjoy listening to my knee squeak :rolleyes:. I absolutely can NOT stand it if something gets in Lily's water or Roxy's water! Even if it's a teeny bit of food I can NOT stand it!

Compared to those who have posted already, I'm fairly *weird habit free*. Maybe it's just that I can't think of any because they all seem normal to me.

One thing that does come to mind is my need to *refold* clean clothes. My husband does the wash and actually has become fairly good at folding the clothes, but because I haven't folded them, I feel compelled to redo them. Mostly I resist this compulsion with his clothes, but not always, and I do tend to almost always refold mine. I try not to let him see me do this. ;)

I squeal loud when I stretch.
I eat a lot of things with mashed potatos bread, veggies, and more...
I eat everything with ketchup and soy sauce even if it doesn't look good with it.
I always crack my spine cuz it feels good and also my toes.
When i drink soda of something in a bottle i always chew on the cap and also take the label off...
Also i chew on the straw and with the foam cup i always bite i from the top and put in it in the cup i do this when i'm done drinking it.

I often tap on the table when I'm bored, or find a small fragment of rubber or paper and play football with my fingers:p

I can make the veins in my feet bulge!(I have bony feet)

My husband has to clean my glasses for me. I hate doing it and I feel that he does it PERFECTLY. NO smears or anything! I absolutely hate smears or smudges or anything on them.

I crack my hands in two different ways, my feet, and my neck. I have cut down though.

Although I've stopped doing it since it would still probably drive my husband crazy. I had to have a plan for everything. I would have to have a whole day planned out well in advance. Also, I had to go over everything several times to make sure it was all set. Oh, I also used to go through the house and make sure everything was in its spot.

Even if something doesn't hurt, my instant response to anything touching me is "ow". That's pretty ironic considering my pain tolerance is really high. I don't like people touching me unless I initiate a hug, handshake, or whatever. It drives me BATTY when people stick their fingers in my food.

I have been known to apologize to a stuffed bear for throwing it at the ground in anger. :o

I crack only after if I sit for too long, (often 10 minutes is too long for me) and crack my neck, big & little knuckles and sometimes knees, backspine, toes, or hips. yes, I crack my hips too! rare.

I test my doorknob as I'm the buglary to make sure it's locked. after I leave and before I sleep. into car, I lock doors (out of habit, not fear) after I buckle up, before the engine starts.

I HATE anything, I repeat, anything counted or left in an odd number. that includes gas too! not at 5, though if I can, oughta be $16.00, $18.00 or $20.00 .. and so on. email even number pictures. bring out cash/coins in even amount with me. read my unread messages down to even number left, even if I am in hurry, I don't want to see "13 unread messages" later when I come back. if any rescue animal comes in without an actual birthdate, I make up in, of course, even date nearest to estimate date.. call my friend at the time that has even digits in...lol. seriously. anything. everything! just a habit. another thing is, I can't wait til I become quad-pillar! right now my post count is 3,900-something and that odd number, 3, have been sticking around for too long! :p also, go and find all of my picture threads, (that usually has '[xx]' in the title), not one you will find with odd number! ;) well, a few are, only ends in 5 if I can't (have enough pictures to) make it even. first digit doesn't count often, as long as the last digit is even! because if I have 32, you can't go back out to same park you took bus to and take 8 more to make it 40, you know? but it is never in (odd) number other than 5. one thing have bothered me before .. I had 13 cats! :p but of course, I wouldn't get rid of one because of that. what to do? I counted in crayola...so that made 14. :D but now, I have 12..so I'll leave crayola out, because I can say, he ain't a cat! again, anything. ;) yeah, yeah you get the picture, so I'll go on to next one.

at restaurant, if I order a soda pop, I request for three ice cubes. too watery if more than three. yes, that's an odd number but it started, came out of a funny story and always thought it as a charm number anyway. so I keep that 'charm' memory.

at any restuarant or fast food, because I don't hear, I gotta sit in way back corner where I can see everyone, everything everywhere and because I love views, at least right by the window if possible.

pillow cases, the opening part gotta be facing the (nearest) wall! I don't know why, strange, but I feel more secured.

any drinks that came with straw, when I am done with it, I throw it away and keep straw, chew it all way until I fold into a zigzag with my tongue or until my jaws tire out.

hmm..many more, not in my mind right now so, I'm done. for now.

Literally, I never stop moving. I just can't stay still! :o My legs are always shaking, my foot is always tapping, my hands are always flinching, etc.

I eat the whole sunflower seed, shell and all! (I'm in softball and we eat alot of those :) )

My left knee always pops. I sometimes wonder if I twisted my knee when I was little or something. My knee pops at least 5 times a day, when I stand straight up or bend way down. Weird! It pops loud and hard.

When I'm in bed, I have to be facing away from the nearest wall. I have no idea why!

Music helps me get to sleep. My radio stays on all night, it is so soothing for me! :P

I sleep with both my hands by my head, my right leg stretched out, and my left leg pulled up to me. Also, I'm always on my side when I sleep!

Whenever I turn my radio on, I turn on my CD and I always heave to hear two certain songs before I hear any other music: Don't Forget About Us, and Stickwitu.

I forgot to mention one yesternight, capitals! don't like using them, except I, or in titles(threads, scrapbooks, poems..), it has to start all with capitals. even a capital G (yikes, I broke a record, I said it here!) in my name makes me feel old. lol :o so I write almost everything in lower capitals. I'm sure this have been bothering some. but, of course when I do resumes, cover/letters, essays.. I write properly. :o

From years of working in that high school cafeteria, I have a habit of counting everything, even now when I don't need to. Count how many time I scoop something, cut something (really annoying when I am cutting out something to sew), sweeping, anything repetetive. It is such a habit that it annoys ME!

The most annoying thing I do that annoys others is I can't stand to see food uncovered. This drives the guys I work with nuts that I am always running behind them recovering the food, if they leave the table for more than a minute with their plate still there with food on it, I open a napkin and cover their plate. I don't think it is strange, just careful.

I thought of another weird habit of mine- I cannot stand it when the sheet gets pulled off the corner of the bed and I have to fix it before I will lay down...it really irritates me for some reason; also the bed has to be touching the wall- there cannot be a gap or I feel upset.

A weird sleeping habit of mine is i have to be wrapped up in the quilts/ doona's.. i guess to feel secure or something. And i have to have atleast 1 dog on the bed (Usually all 3 lol).
